As for the protection on the picks, every team in the discussion outside of the Magic are in the playoffs for the foreseeable future. So you wouldn't want a Nets pick in 7 years (seriously looking at our roster now), than a Nuggets/Sixers pick in 5 years (Who will most likely be doing better than the Nets would be in 7 years)?

Lopez can be traded for valuable assets in the future if the Magic really wanted cap relief. It's not impossible. Why did they re-sign Jameer to that contract if they're tanking and want cap relief? The team has/had no direction.

And what prospects? Only prospect I see that may be good is Harkless, other than that you have MarShon Brooks who is proven to be a very good and crafty scorer....than Christian Eyenga. Anything I'm missing, sensei?
