That was his stats in 2007 just before the Gasol trade. There's no question, he will be close at matching that number as long as he has the paint for himself (no more of this twin tower crap).

Some serious overrating of Nets/Sixers going on with talk of them being possibly 2nd and 3rd best teams in the East with serious underrating of Hawks/Bulls both slotted to either just make or miss the playoffs.....

Well it's the closest to home it's going to get for him. They have the money to max him and he gets to be #1. If he doesn't then we have the Room to sign two max players and we get rid f Iguodala contract. It's worth the risk, they are making an attempt and taking risk finally.

I think Bynum resigns this city is going to LOVE Bynum we've been starving for a player like him.

Well the other factors are

1. You need him to be healthy
2. You need someone to get him the ball in the right situations, with the right passes.

An upgrade over AI most likely, but I think the attention Kobe and Gasol got in LA helped him out, I assume he'll see more double teams as a Sixer

With Turner waiting in the wings, its still a justifiable trade even if Bynum leaves. Igoudala was expendable IMO (despite still being a great player) and his contract was just very restricting. Obviously you want Bynum to stay and I think the extra 25 million means a lot more to him than it does to Dwight at this point in terms of influencing his decision to do so. But plan B isn't so bad either, so Philly gets a GREAT deal.

I would say the Lakers are the favorites to win the title.

This league is a joke. Laker nation must have given some good trim to Orlando for them to take it up the rear like they just did. Wooooooooooooooow.

The sad thing is a team loses their star and wins the draft lottery for the third straight year is not likely to happen. It would make the draft lottery look completely rigged and I can't imagine the NBA being that stupid. Those who believe it's legitimate would have no argument. If the Magic are doing this to tank, I am not sure if it will work. As it is, I don't see myself following basketball next season. The Lakers getting yet another beneficial trade handed to them is getting disgusting at this point.

The Magic will receive five draft picks in the four-team deal. Sources say they'll get three first-round picks and two second-round picks.

I just looked at the trade. I can't believe Orlando is okay with being ass-f*cked like that.

Lakers would have been better off getting Harrington, since he can defend the SF and they need improvement there. They still are really, really thin at that spot.

On the other hand, they could still move Gasol for a servicable PF and an upgrade at SF.

Or they could get minimum guys and go with the theory that Gasol's versatile offensive game and ability to play C offsets his defensive weakness, so roll with it.

Still hearing that the four-team deal is bigger than what has been reported. Don't be surprised if additional players are in finalized deal.

You didn't watch the year KG and Ray Allen joined the Celtics? Sucks, you really missed out on a good one.

The big problem I have with Orlando here is they didn't clear Turkey glue's salary. When you are in a rebuilding situation like they are, you don't want an expensive star player back, but you need to get something of serious value.

All the picks are protected which is ridiculous, Afflalo is really good but doesn't have star potential, and they still have their worst contract on the books. Crazy.

Also find it amusing that the Sixers had to give up more for Bynum than the Lakers did for Howard.
