Justed talked with Arron Afflalo and he sounded genuinely excited about the trade to Orlando. Interview should be up shortly.

Harrington and Afflalo's deals are definitely a little longer than we should be taking back, but considering we're unloading about 10 mil in contracts (Jason Richardson, most of Dwight), I can live with that.

To be honest, the deal that goes down is probably the best we could have got. Everything else (the houston trade included) were all rumors and speculation. If Fegan is leaking info to the press, he could easily call a GM and say "he isn't going to sign with you longterm" and Hennigan or Alex or Devos are royally &#@$'d.

The best part is ITS OVER! The bad part is he got what he wanted(kinda) and a small market team loses another superstar. I am glad we are going the SA/OKC route because they seem to have a good system in place for creating a championship caliber team in a small market and seriously Duhon is gone and Brown is still the coach in LA... nothing is guaranteed.

Can't wait to cheer with real fans and not socialite wannabes trying to be hip in my arena.

Nelson
Afflalo
Harkless
Nicholson
Davis

Thats good for 25-30 wins with a good surprise win against a few contenders that will make for good memories when we don't make the playoffs.
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

Vucevic is a nice prospect, IMO, he averaged 12/11 over 36minutes in his 1st season. I think we found our starting center here and our starting SG too.

Now we need a backup PG, i think Ish will be back.

And look at bright side, at least we wont need to play Jrich/Duhon anymore and watch Earl shots brick jumpers.

The bad part is, Harkless averaged 5/3 in the summer league (2 games).

Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XLV "Re-Building" Edition)

I think Harkless sprained his ankle in day one of summer league. Hopefully that explains the poor stats.

I also didn't realize Vucevic is only 21 and was the 16th pick last year.

I agree Vucevic is a nice prospect, but where did you get those numbers? I see that he averaged 6/5.

Go easy on Hennigan. Hearing Orl Pres Alex Martins likely ran this one. Always good to have non-bball folks make critical decision.

Thats BS. If that was the case then we would have kept Bynum. I cant stand reporters talking non sense like that. Btw I agree with not keeping Bynum.

So I thought this Dwightmare was actually a nightmare. I woke up, and it's still true. Seriously, where are the reports that were at least getting an extra prospect or two. I mean, we're not even getting their top young players.

The Magic will receive five draft picks in the four-team deal. Sources say they'll get three first-round picks and two second-round picks.

Can anyone clarify that there may be MORE players added to this deal? That televised deal was "frame work"] apparently, so does that mean that's all that is included, or does that mean more players/picks can be added? Thanks to anyone who can answer my question.

Vucevic actually has good stats when given time

In games when he's played near 30 minutes he's averaging about 13 points and 12 boards. I'm kinda excited to see what he turns into with consistent playing time and as a potential starter.

Still hearing that the four-team deal is bigger than what has been reported. Don't be surprised if additional players are in finalized deal.

we need to hire a big-man coach. Where's Clifford Ray now-a-days? I think he was on the staff when Vaughn was here; maybe there's some sort of relationship where we reach out to him?
