Re: Lakers have interest in free-agent Leandro Barbosa
Need to patch up that 2/3 spot. Barbosa looked good with Brazil in his Olympic run. Showed some 3 point shooting and dibble penetration.
My other pick would be mickael pietrus. Versatile player and good defender. (I think hes a free agent, no?)
We got plenty of freaking back up point guards, one of them has to be decent!!

Barbosa's got tons of game left. He is instant offense, and could lead a team in scoring in the right situation. That said, Brazil is the only situation where it's warranted, and he doesn't pass often. Still, he's got scoring savvy like few others, without hurting the team.

Mitch should just ring up Nash and ask what he thinks about bringing in Barbosa.
And to be honest, after how little, to no scoring our bench gave us last year, i dont mind him being a bit of a ball hog lol.

I'm not gonna lie, I still have immense amounts of hatred toward Barbosa from his Suns years. Moreso than anyone else there.

Carlos Delfino. He can play the 2/3.

He would be awesome. Wonder if Mitch is thinking about getting him.

The lakers need a SF really bad. They currently have MWP and Earl Clark. Delfino would be great. Even getting Stevenson would be good, he can flip flop between 2 and 3

I can't say I've ever seen Earl Clark play, but I'm pretty sure he's a PF/C. We are also supposedly resigning Ebanks therefore giving us our back-up SF. He seems to be in position to take on a bigger role this year.

He's a hybrid 3/4...
Draft express says he can play the 3 but has questionable handles... But he's more of a jump shooting perimeter player than your traditional 4.

Isn't Jamison a 3/4?

Jamison has always been terrible defensively. He won't be able to guard a 3, especially at his age now. He might be able to guard stretch 4s.

There is absolutely no reason why Barbosa should not be MUCH better on the defensive end. He's fast as hell, he's got long arms, seems to have good lateral quickness, and is very athletic.
If he gets Barbosa to play solid defense, Mike Brown will earned his check.
barbosa played good D in the Olympics. Never saw him do that. But he would always pick 2 fouls in the first quarter then benched for the first half

but yeh, since he would come off the bench here and he have 6 fouls to waste then it wouldn't be really a problem for us.

C'mon Mitch sign Barbosa already! Why is this taking so long?! Take your lazy a** off the couch and do something relevant this offseason.
