If you weren't going to get young studs back, then at least hold out for unprotected picks.

I just don't get it.

u got to start somewhere. afflalo will be our sefolosha. Harkless has game. we have young bigs

its not that good, all i see is aging retired players, bad players, and players staying put (lebron etc)

Other than Wade and Lebron (who will probably stick together), not too much of that gets me all that excited. Lot of older stars who by then we definitely won't want to be giving long-term max deals to...

I heard Stern was going to award us a draft pick at the end of the second round, bottom 10 protected, as a bonus for brokering such a great deal.

at that point you're no longer tanking, lol. You tank for one to two seasons, and in 2014 you go all out with max contracts to put along side the young talent you've gotten through the draft.

Not that I expect LBJ to sign here, but what in the world makes you think he would stay in Miami? IMO he will sign wherever he has the best chance to win.

Neither of the two notorious "drafted" teams (Spurs and Thunder) signed a max FA

It doesn't sound like much fun but i think the cap space is to sign role players and pay our young guys so we dont get into a situation like the thunder

from a poster (TheJambo) I respect on TBN:

I think everyone needs to hold off judgement, until the WHOLE Deal is reported... There could be additional trades related to this trade, not yet reported..

Just think about this...... Why would we take Harrington, and the lower of Denver's 2014 pick, unless they were taking something from us also....as they getting a major upgrade in talent...

Maybe, just maybe, a separate trade of Turk for Denver's TPE.. Contingent on this whole 4 team trade going down.

That would make us getting rid of J. Rich, Duhon, Turk, and Clark, Along with DH(who does not want to be here).

J. Rich (Highly overpaid for what he brings, almost untradeable contract unless included in this type of deal..)

Duhon (Worthless piece to any puzzle)

Turk (See Duhon, plus lazy and un-motivated to get any better or try harder)

Clark (Not the Smartest NBA player by far, as far as NBA IQ goes..)

DH (Does not want to be here, and killed Orlando's chances at getting any GREAT deal by all of his Whining!!)

You do not any of that around a group of young players that you are trying to mold into quality NBA players, and more importantly Quality People!! That sounds like a Great way to start changing the mentality of the Team!!!

Getting the young talent and Draft picks on top of that is just icing on the cake!!!

REALLY, what could you expect after what Fegan has done behind the scenes, Dwight has done in the media, and what Otis did to this teams CAP?????

I think I figured this all out. Stern promised the Magic another All-Star game in order to get the deal done.

I'm not sure Sefolosha is where I would choose to start rebuilding.

btw Afflalo definitely is better than that scrub.

You expect Baby to protect the basket ?

I just think big guys are over rated in the upcoming NBA. if anything, we need to do everything we can to get in on the Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes and hope he really is everything he is cracked up to be.

I spent some time trying to make an NFL analogy for this whole thing. I summed it up as this is like the Vikings trading Peterson to the Giants and only ending up with guys like Malcolm Floyd and Stanford Routt in return. On the surface an people still say that you need a C/RB to win in the playoffs, but how close have the teams with the best C/RB been in recent years? In the NBA the best centers in my mind are Dwight, Bynum, Healthy Bogut, Noah, Gortat etc. How much noise did those guys make in the playoffs? Our conference finals were KG playing out of position, Joel Anthony, a 36 year old Tim Duncan, and Serge Ibaka (who Scott brooks can't trust to play smart defense so Nick Collison has to play 25 minutes per game). Just like the NFL has morphed into a league where 5000 passing yards and the worst defense ever gets the Pats to the super bowl.

I think we will hear within a day that Howard has started on the court rehabs and should be available for the start of the season. I seriously doubt Howard was ever hurt. He was so desperate to get to LA, that this was the fastest way to get there. Plus, he needed time to go house hunting with his girlfriend while the Magic fell apart in the playoffs.

I think these reported "final offers" from Brooklyn and Houston are being inflated a bit. Remember when we thought a Houston deal was close and then we heard they only wanted to give us one of each? Far cry from this reported package just now. Seems to me it's just butthurt media making stuff up out of spite.

I mean come on. I know Hennigan is public enemy #1 right now, but the man is not mentally challenged. If such an obviously better deal was out there, I think we would have taken it.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.
