Along with most of the other teams in the NBA...

But that's not the point...it's the overreacting on everything that doesn't go the Knicks way. This is what fans of other teams criticize Knick fans for...the "oh he shoulda just come to us, I dont' understand why he wouldn't, we deserve it more than anyone else" way of reacting.

We have our team. What these other teams do, particularly those aren't even in our conference, is meaningless. Most teams in the east have become worse this off season and we have as good a chance as ever.

We have our go to guy, our rock C, our X factor in Stat, our PGs in Felton/Kidd, our SG trio of Iman JR and Brewer.... Perhaps most important a capable coach.. A training camp.... I'd say we're sitting just fine right now.

Are you saying the Knicks aren't doomed? What's the definition of "not doomed" then? I don't think we're even close to being in the discussion for a championship, and we just let our best young player walk for nothing, while rounding out the roster with old vets who aren't impact players. Were are in draft-pick debt, and our one young up-and-comer is going to be coming off a major injury. We'll be a +.500 team, and if everything clicks we might even be a 50 win team. But that's about it, and then we are rebuilding in 3 years. I guess it just depends on what the definition of "doomed" is.

The Knicks have been doomed worse than any other team in the league since Dolan has been owner.

And it is the point, because things go our way like 1% of the time. And when it does, we let it go cause of a third year. Hurray 40 year old 3 year contracts.

That's why you keep a 23-year old point guard with an extremely high upside who can be a major piece for the next 10 years, instead of going "f- it, let's bring in a bunch of veteran role players." That's why this is so infuriating.

it isn't about wanting or not wanting howard. it is about knicks management that people are upset. and rightfully so dolan has made some dumb decisions and when you look at how denver handled there situation, overpaying for assets so that they could use them as future trade chips down the road, handling javale mcgee's free agency properly. we mortgaged our future to win now and things are looking like we won't be winning for a while.

Doomed implies that you are first destined for something. Which again, goes right into what fans of other teams criticize about the Knick fans...when they act like they deserve something and, when they don't get it, get robbed of it. NY is no more destined for anything than any other team. And, as a result, it isn't doomed anymore than any other team.

So because we're not championship locks were doomed?

Old vets that aren't impact players? Kidd and Camby may not be their former star selfs but they hardly are useless.

Draft pick debt? We have no 2nd round picks (wow). We have dealt 2 1st round picks during a stretch that the Knicks will still be among the better teams in the NBA (wow).

So we're going to be a pretty good team is what you're saying and that = doomed?
