The guy repeatedly blew his chances and got what he deserved.

It's amazing how many idiots there are in college and professional sports. Makes you wonder how they ever even made it that far in the first place.

How good do you guys think "The Honey Badger" will be as an NFL player? Think he's going to be a Devin Hester type? Dominant return guy who can't really cut it at CB?

Or do you think, despite his lack of size, that he'll be able to cover at a high level?

He's listed at 5-9 right? Obviously that's really short, but I don't think it's necessarily prohibitively short. How tall was Darrell Green?

I know Brandon Flowers is only 5'9" and he is pretty damn good. Same with Barber when he was around. So it has been done before...

Obviously you have to be pretty damn talented though.

mike freeman ‏@realfreemancbs
NFL scout on Tyrann Mathieu: "My mock had him middle of first round. Just cost himself millions."

mike freeman ‏@realfreemancbs
Most people I'm talking to in NFL still think Tyrann gets drafted in third, maybe fourth round, at latest.

mike freeman ‏@realfreemancbs
He's a very divisive player among NFL teams. Teams either really like him or they can't stand him. Not much middle ground.

He can't really cover, but a lot of defensive backs can't as sophomores in the SEC. He really needed more work.

I have only seen him play a couple of times.

He looks very special when it comes to K/P returns. He also looked to be very instinctive. Do you think he could be valuable in that Woodson/Polomalu role? Where he just kind of drifts around on D looking to make plays and blitzing?

Bob Sanders was super short, right? Could his frame handle the extra weight he'd need for S?

That is what I was thinking.

...he shouldn't have been playing as RGIII in NCAA '13. Les doesn't like that.

Hopefully he doesn't end up like ryan perrilloux fading into obscurity. I like the honey badgers game.

The dude can make plays.

Sounds like Mathieu might sit out the season and return to play at LSU next season. Would be a great move IMO.

Okay. This is incredible.

"People have this picture in their minds of a person planning to — a psychopath. But that's not the case. Suppose you have a man having a nervous breakdown, and a youngster comes after him. A lot of the cases, the youngster — 14, 16, 18 — is the seducer ... It's not so hard to see — a kid looking for a father and didn't have his own — and they won't be planning to get into heavy-duty sex, but almost romantic, embracing, kissing, perhaps sleeping but not having intercourse or anything like that.

It's an understandable thing ... there are the relatively rare cases where a priest is involved in a homosexual way with a minor. I think the statistic I read recently in a secular psychology review was about 2%. Would that be true of other clergy? Would it be true of doctors, lawyers, coaches?

Here's this poor guy — [Penn State football coach Jerry] Sandusky — it went on for years. Interesting: Why didn't anyone say anything? Apparently, a number of kids knew about it and didn't break the ice. Well, you know, until recent years, people did not register in their minds that it was a crime. It was a moral failure, scandalous; but they didn't think of it in terms of legal things,"

Father Benedict Groeschel, the director of the Office for Spiritual Development for the Catholic Archdiocese of New York.

That might be the most disgusting thing I've read. That rape apologist should be fired and kicked out of the Church.

Simply deplorable, and I would say grounds for evidence for exploring how many kids Groeschel has diddled.
