I love how Dwight just keeps on living in Shaq's shadow.

Drafted by Orlando. Makes his way out to LA to play with Kobe. Steals the Superman nickname. Plays with Nash for at least one season.

And still, Dwight can lead LA to a threepeat, and still won't be as good as Shaq. lol.

Philly already owes the pick to Miami this year. The earliest it could be is 2015, although Berger keeps repeating otherwise

Why not 2014?

Also, what was the Philly Miami trade?

Hey, I can't fault the facts. Celtics are the winningest franchise of all time. You're absolutely right on that one.

I hope that helps you feel better come June. And next June. And the June after that.

We can keep going, how do you want to play this game?

Wow, that was a disaster.

Yeah, that was terrible. That instilled no confidence in the fan base whatsoever.

On paper, they certainly are the best.

So was Shaq/Malone/Odom/Kobe/Payton (and whoever else I forgot). That didn't equate to a championship.

Championships are won by teams who can meld their play together and execute flawlessly. That's the reason teams like the Spurs, OKC, and even Denver have a solid chance at upsetting them.

I'm a Denver homer - let's be clear. I REALLY like our team.

As constructed, we can challenge the lakers at every position.
Nash/Blake - Lawson/Miller - advantage Denver
Kobe/Iggy - advantage Kobe, but not in a landslide.
Metta - Gallo/Chandler - even to slight advantage Denver
pau/Jamison - Faried/Randolph - advantage LA
Dwight - McGee/Mozgov/Koufos - advantage Dwight, but hack-a-dwight comes into play

The Nuggets possess more depth than any team in the league. Our bench could run with most teams. Miller/JHam/Chandler/Randolph/Mozgov could be the difference. You can wear the old guys down LOL

I am just baffled.

Insert Jackie Chan Mind Blown picture.

That the Lakers got Howard is not surprising at all, but what blows me away is what the Magic got in return. I can't believe this.

when you have enough talent, that doesnt need to be true. just look at the heat. they really dont fit well at all. but have 2 of the top 5 players in the game.

the lakers will be in the finals. and probably win. barring injury.

You sound furious, why is that? Not sure how a fan of a team that gets handed so much could be mad at anything.

This year is your window, claiming otherwise means you have zero concept of what Kobe had done to his knee. It is literally a ticking time bomb and once the magic potion wears off it goes back to be just as horrible as it was.

History suggests they can't. They were relatively quiet for 20 years prior to 2008.

Deals like this are why conspiracy theorists thrive. I'm not one of them, but this deal is so good for LA and so good for Philly and so good for Denver, and so very bad for Orlando that it boggles the mind. I mean, everybody came out of this deal better off except for Orlando and they had the prized possession.

That franchise will never accomplish anything, except to continually be the butt of jokes. I sincerely feel bad for Magic fans.

lol, how can I be furious when my team just landed Nash and Howard in the same offseason??? Furious would be if my rival team did that and all I got was Jason Terry and Jeff Green. Like right now I just did a google search of the word "furious" and the first link was celticsblog.com

Right now I feel like Ice Cube - Today was a Good Day (in fact, that's what I'm blasting that right now)

How is this one year our window when the Celtics have been stretching their Big 3 window over 5 years now on KG's knees? You do understand we just built to contend now AND for the future right? Mitch just said to Danny "Lemme show you how to do this son"

This a star driven league my man, Nuggets aren't challenging anything, just like if none of the Jazz guys turn into stars, we aren't contending for anything.

Every 10 or so years there will be a team like the Pistons that will win it, but otherwise, you need something like a top 2 player at their position or you aren't winning a thing imo.

Look at the champs this millenium.

2000 - Lakers - Kobe, Shaq
2001 - Lakers - Kobe, Shaq
2002 - Lakers - Kobe, Shaq
2003 - Spurs - Tim
2004 - Pistons - The anomaly
2005 - Spurs - Tim
2006 - Heat - Wade
2007 - Spurs - Tim
2008 - Celts - KG, Ray, PP
2009 - Lakers - Kobe, Pau
2010 - Lakers - Kobe, Pau
2011 - Mavs - Dirk
2012 - Heat - LeBron, Wade, Bosh

And as far as benches go, the Heat bench was really bad and the won it all. Deep bench is overrated when it comes to a championship, just ask the Spurs the last two years.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
The #Magic received a $17.8 million traded player exception in the deal, Hennigan said. Magic will have 1 year to use it.
