I know the GM took the best deal on the table. I know this deal is far superior than the last serious one, not the imaginary ones people have been clamoring for. You people act like there was any way to screw this up, like your imaginary trade ideas were actual offers Hennigan turned down in order to take this trade, like there was any chance in hell we would not have gotten screwed in a trade involving Dwight Howard and teams with virtually no assets. The trade is not good, it is simply the best we were going to get, if you disagree you are just delusional and there is a reason you are assistant manager at jiffy lube and not GMing a basketball franchise at 30. And yes i am excited this is finally over, i am excited next season is going to be a lot more fun to watch than last season was. Stop crying, we can finally move on. The trade is not as good as what you imagined it would be, tough ****, it was never going to be that.

We are hoping he really does have an eye for talent, and we get a gem or two out of these rookies. Too soon to judge, seeing as how so far, he is going the route of OKC and Spurs. Which isn't a bad route at all. Just going to have to be patient.

People need to stop with the OKC comparisons. That team got once in a lifetime luck when building the team. No way we can expect that to happen for us, especially when we had back to back number 1 picks that we squandered. That used up all our luck for generations.

I just hope we dont embarrass ourselves for the next 5 years and become the bobcats.

Are you gonna keep posting this crap every single time?

Man time to grow up. We made the deal, we have what we have now either support the team or GTFO. It's not as bad as you make it seem.

So sick of these posts. This is not the end of the Orlando Magic. It is NOT the end of the world. We lost a great player, but a great player who was a **** and didn't want to be here. I for one celebrate the culture change in that we don't have this soap opera crap hanging over us and we can enjoy guys who want to play for us and play hard. I do not care what other fans are saying or what the media is saying, we will recover and build.

Over it with some "fans". As someone else said, best thing about this trade is it will get rid of the bandwagoners until we are good again... I hate bandwagoners, even ones that say they have supported the team for 20 years. Yes, that is possible, just read this thread.

I want these guys to go support Miami or LA or Boston. Can't believe we have this type supporting the Magic. Quitters.

That is horrible.....ridiculously horrible. When Bynum, Gasol, and Iggy are in play and you cant land any of them in a deal involving Howard....that is beyond bad.

You realize we didn't want any of them right?

they had no interest in bynum or gasol, they could of easily had one of them, they wanted young players, draft picks, and to suck for a few years, they didnt wanna be mediocre for a few years and just be stuck in the middle, iggy and gasol just prolong the inevitable, bynum is not the type of character they like, and had concerns with his knees, they wanted to rebuild from the bottom up, so its not that they couldnt land them, they chose not to

The fallout of this trade won't be know for years. It burns right now, but we have young talent that could develop, cap space in two years, draft picks, plus a chronic back problem to root for in L.A.

for all the complaining, which is warranted, do any of you think the franchise would he in a better position with bynum gasol or iggy. for a team wanting to rebuild none of those guys will help. plus bynums knees are too injury prone for my liking.

Yep love it. If it means moving on in the real world.

Considering I don't play in fantasy land like you and the other quitters posting nonsense on the board.

We took the best deal we could and we have a plan. For a guy that gave us no other option. That is real world.

Go back to Fantasy Land and complain about deals that were not there. I'd rather deal with real life. Thanks.

I will now enjoy and support the new guys. Go Magic.

Who is living in fantasy land? Surely you're not talking about me. You don't see me talking about other deals. I am fine with not getting Bynum or Iggy. What I'm not fine with is getting good young talent. We gave up the best player and we couldn't get Evan Turner or Wilson Chandler? Come on, that's not unreasonable. Everyone is blasting us, there is a reason.

I'm really hoping one of these young guys (Afflalo, Eyenga, Harkless, Vucevic) pans out because at the moment these guys are scrubs. And the draft picks are so bad that they're irrelevant. I was hoping that we'd at least get a few assets in the deal. I guess Harrington can be dealt at the deadline. But still, it's a bad deal any way you look at it. Unless one of those young guys becomes a stud, there's nothing to look forward to in that deal.

If we could've got Evan Turner or Wilson Chandler we would have got them, so no we couldn't.

IMO, Afflalo will be pretty solid, nothing special, eyenga will be nothing, vucevic at best is a decent backup, and harkless is the wild card, he could be a decent starter, so harkless or bust

So i've got a question...please pardon me if its been asked as I missed the last 60 or so pages while at work.

About McRoberts...

When the deal stopped at Eyenga, I ran it through two trade checkers and it worked fine (no idea how reliable they are). Then this morning, I read that McRoberts has been added as an 'additional expiring deal'.

Well, i'll take an empty roster spot I am paying $0 to over an 'additional expiring deal' I am paying $3mil to any day of the week.

It's like Kupchak's final crime was just sticking our hapless GM with a $3mil lunch tab just because he knew he could. Maybe I am wrong, and the salaries didn't match, but if they did this is just insult to injury.
