Mike Brown Fired | Lakers meet Phil, goes well p.60

Post#1 » by Nanogeek » Fri Aug 10, 2012 7:04 pm

No disrespect to Brown but this team needs a leader who will command unwavering and unquestionable respect from this team of future Hall of Famers. Why take any chance that Brown can't keep things under control? I think PJ needs to come back.

I don't think Phil has any desire to come back as a coach... I'm guessing he'd be looking for Mitch's job...

So no.

Probably give Brown a chance for one season to win a ring. If he doesn't, they'll fire his ass just like what they did to Del Harris.

As much as I love PJ, I also want to see Brown and Jordan together first

Don't know much about Eddie Jordan, but he seems to be a good offensive coach from what i hear. That's what we need.

Phil stop teasin'!

But in all honesty, I feel like he's done coaching, at least for the Lakers. I think our front office has officially moved on from Phil Jackson and even if he wanted to come back, it would really be hard seeing him get the money he would probably demand after all this luxury tax money we're stuck paying.

IF Mike Brown gets replaced....

Post#17 » by Thethirdguy » Wed Oct 17, 2012 8:16 pm

(First off, I didn't make this topic to rip on Mike Brown, it's been done. I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt for now. However, it's pretty obvious a lot of people want him gone.) So...

I'm curious, what other coaches are available? Were MB to get the boot, who do you think, realistically (i.e. not Phil Jackson), would be the most likely to take over? And/or who would be the best fit for this team?

Probably Eddie Jordan....I see Brown staying this whole year unless something drastic happens. But if we don't win the championship, I think he's probably gone...unless we make the finals and lose in a hard fought competitive series that could have gone either way.

edit: as for best fit, I would have loved adelman when we hired Brown, specially since we are now running the Princeton.

The only reason Lakers hire Brown its cus he's dirt cheap. I hope Brown is gone asap, he's offense is a joke. If he coaches a team w/o Lebron or Kobe, he wont even get more than 10 wins in regular season.
Eddie Jordan is far more worse than Brown. Its sad to see he's even on the Lakers.
