Re: Miami Dolphins/Marlins Thread
Yeah. Tannehill looks good so far. Good enough to start anyway. I don't mind him making a lot of mistakes early. He'll have to make them at some point anyway. I say let him learn on the job and give the fans something to get excited about.
Of course, I can see Philbin trotting gimpy Garrard out there and riding him to a bunch of mediocre losses while season ticket sales drop.
I didn't go to last night's game because I figured it was gonna rain, and I didn't expect Moore to get the start. I'll be there for the 3rd game to hopefully see Moore or Tannehill in the starting spot. I don't care at all for Garrard. He's a career scrub. At least Moore gave us lots of reasons to sing and dance in the stands last season. PEACE.

As a Jags fan(unfortunately), I really hope you guys don't have to suffer through Garrard starting. He was already declining and had tons of critical flaws in his game before the back injury, I can only imagine how bad he is now. Not to mention the fact that he couldn't even outplay Luke **** McCown last training camp, injury or not.

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

So it looks like Chad Johnson took Hard Knocks a little too literally.

Chad Johnson tried to make a hoe a housewife and now he's out of a job.

I don't know Chad personal life too well, but just by watching 10 minutes of basketball wives you know that evelyn chick has no good intentions and has no limits to ruin somebody. I feel the guy is getting set up, and I feel bad for him.

Re: Miami Dolphins/Marlins Thread
I don't know nor care about Chad's personal life. I say let the courts handle that. We had a BPD guy the last two seasons who also hit his wife in Brandon Marshall, and let him go for a bag of chips, killing our receiving core. We bring in Chad and now let him go too. Whatever his personal life is, if the courts would allow him to lace-up on Sundays, that's all that matters. As it stands, our rookie, franchise QB now has no one to throw to. Is Hartline really a franchise receiver? Really? Gimme a **** break. This season, which was already gonna suck, is going to suck even worse now. This Dolphins team is ****, and needed to hold on to what little talent we have like grim death. I don't like cutting Chad. I think it's a mistake. I'm **** pissed right now. If my dad and I didn't use it as father-son time, I would be selling my tickets tomorrow. This has really pissed me off. How far this team has fallen...it's embarrassing. PEACE.

You're overrating Chad Johnson. And also you're missing the fact that this is a rebuilding year. We're no better with Chad than we are without him. He's washed up. Might as well use this year as a complete rebuilding year.

Brian Hartline is our best receiver.
That's all I'm gonna say about that. I didn't buy season tickets to watch Tannehill try to throw it to himself. PEACE.

Anyone can clearly see that when you look at her. She looks sneaky.

And just like that the Dolphins went from a slim chance of a good year, to almost no chance. Most of the fans that were going to go to see Chad play wont go now, and most people dont even know the names of the rest of the reciever core beside Bess and Hartline. Its sad it happened to the Dolphins yet again, maybe they shouldve signed Plaxico and Braylon instead?

Re: Miami Dolphins/Marlins Thread
I'm really disappointed. I was looking forward to Chad Johnson on the team. Sucks. I actually saw First Take on this issue (nothing on.......) and I think they did release him too quick. Atleast wait on a verdict. Though he looks to be guilty. Sigh.
And yes, his wife isn't exactly an angel. More reason why they should have waited on a verdict. She was married to Antoine Walker LOL, and makes millions being trashy on Basketball wives.

Re: Miami Dolphins/Marlins Thread
Really guys, Chad Johnson is the difference between us having a good or bad season? No. You're delusional if you think we have CJ from his Bengal's days. That guy is washed up, drops everything. He's afraid of contact from all reports in training camp. He's embarrassing, has said things that aren't close to amusing on HK.
He's done. I am excited for Roberto Wallace getting a chance, at this point he might be better. Cunningham has looked solid. Pruitt as well.
Chad Johnson is nothing but talk, he don't have any game left.

Brian **** Hartline is our best receiver. WTF is Roberto Wallace anyway? I watch a lot of college ball and never even heard of the guy. I don't even think he was guaranteed to make the roster before we dropped Chad. Our top 3 WRs are Hartline, Bess and Gates IMO. I've said for a couple years now that Hartline is a slot receiver. That means we're starting the 3rd guy on the depth chart as the first receiver.
I don't think Chad makes the difference between a good and a bad season, but he is the difference between having a hope and having none. There is no chance we're any good on offense this season...none. If we'd kept Marshall and added Chad or Braylon, we'd have a good receiving core. We don't have that now. We have no deep threat, which now impacts Reggie Bush, as safeties and LBs can just tee-off all day without worrying about giving up the homerun ball. Our porous OL has replaced that bum Columbo with probably another bum in Hicks. Bush will be lucky if he gets any holes to run up the middle.
Chad gave us the hope that he could rekindle some of the magic he once had, and help out our rookie QB, whom we hope will lead the team for years to come. As it stands, we might as well just tank the season and hope to draft a stud player next year. Of course, we don't even know how to tank properly, so we'll just blow that too. I'm tired of mediocrity. It's been two decades now. It's beyond frustrating when every other team down here seems to be doing well. Since Ross took over the team, he's tried to **** on our traditions and seems content wallowing in mediocrity and falling ticket sales. This isn't the team I love. This is the team I'm faithful to out of loyalty and loyalty alone. I grudgingly watch them lose each week because football is my favorite sport, not because the franchise, ownership or coaches have given me anything to cheer about.
Hell, Philbin's already pissed me off by demoting Moore despite Moore being the best thing to happen to the team last season. Matt Moore is the reason I could sing and dance in the stands despite us missing the playoffs and the top pick. There's just no reason to care anymore. Nothing will change with this team, and losing is nothing new anymore.
I'm not directing this at you, really. I just needed to vent. I suspect I'll be doing a lot of that this season.

Agreed. We were going to suck with or without Chad. But now we won't be entertained while we suck. Which really sucks.

Re: Miami Dolphins/Marlins Thread
Ryan Tannehill is starting today. Exciting to see him play against a quality defense. Carolina has an underrated secondary and some good linebackers but Beason will not play today.
Will be interesting how he orchestrates the offense. If today goes good, then it's a lock he will be the opening day starter.

Ah ****! I went to see Dark Knight tonight and got back for the second half. I was hoping to see Tannehill play. Oh well. Hopefully there's a replay or at least a highlight reel of his night. PEACE.
