I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

You are very ignorant good sir the people who are true fans are the ones standing here believeing that hennigan built this trade for a purpose and that he has a plan and are optimistic. Not being all butt hurt about it. And i only wish that when Henny uses this flexibilty to rebuild this team that u would be accountable for your rude comments. That when Harkless develops and when he moves Harrington and Affalo at their peak value for younger talent. Alot of us ate crow after he drafted Nicholson and alot of you will be doing the same. Because if you remember the Pau Gasol trade which everyone thought was high way robbery ended up not being so bad for Memphis so shut your mouth stop bitching grow up and root on and support our young rookies as they develop. you sir are not acting like a true fan

Let's see if I have this right...

The biggest music fans are the hardest to impress because they know what great music sounds like.

The biggest movie fans are usually the toughest critics because they've seen enough films to know what stands out.

But in basketball, even though knowledgable fans have seen hundreds of trades and prospects over the years, the best fans are the ones who blindly applaud every single move their team makes as an act of genius so surpassing in its intelligence, that the world has never seen anything like it before?

Okay, thanks for clearing that up for me.

I am sorry we dont agree like you i was a little shocked at the deal we got but as i continued to look at it the more and more i feel this was the best we could do and that in the end this could be a great deal. All i know for sure is in life you can be positive or negative and i am choosing to be positive and to give this deal a chance and to see what Henny can do. If you choose to be negative and continue to complain and bitch then thats your character flaw but dont critize us because of it

Thank you for pointing out my character flaws.
I do appreciate the posters who when challenged with ideas that conflict with their way of thinking resort to terms like "bitchy" and "complaining" and my new personal favorite "character flaws".

I raised a very reasonable idea that in most avenues of life the truest fans of something are its biggest critics.

Let me put it another way before I go off and work on my character flaw...

Why is it okay for everyone to rip Duhon relentlessly for years on this board. an actual member of the team?

But not okay to be critical of the return we got for the best player this team has had in 16 years?

Hypocrisy is a bigger character flaw, amigo.

That's real from Morey, unfortunately unlike RealGM he can't do the whole /green or w/e.

Vucevic is developing a nice jumper, but he looks at the floor too much and doesn't see the rim until the shot is released. I think that's a no-no in the JJ shooting DVD.

Youtube Josh McRoberts. I've watched the guy in a few games, but he really does have some fun highlights. Not sure if he'll stick around on this roster, but he's only 25 and a pretty exciting player to watch.

This is a real quote I got from a Houston Rockets forum and it was said by Morey during a radio interview on Friday. He said the package was great for us and Rob will be an unbelievable exec for us and will be around a while.

They did their diligence and kept searching for something they liked more. They liked the trade more than anything we could offer. I promise you Rob knows what he's doing. People will feel over time he is a great exec.

Serious love for Rob from Morey AND Kupchak. If other GMs are praising ours, how can anyone talk smack about him?

I liked his game and thought he was going to be big for the Lakers but it didn't work out there. I remember reading about something happening, not sure what it was, anyone know why he fell out of favor so quickly there?

Well you cant forget some no name SAS ping level reporter called him garbage so it must be true *sarcasm. Like i maintain the talent he got back is nowhere near as bad as people are making it out to be and wait a couple years before we pass judgement and wait and see what he does. High praise from two good GMs is something this organization has never recieved, he is a professional like we have never seen before

Why would other GMs talk smack about another GM? That's not how you should conduct business. Hell if Otis was still a GM and you ask other GMs how they feel about Otis, it'll be the same response Rob got.

Here's a solid scouting report on McRoberts after last season. Def worth a read:

http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/lak ... -mcroberts

Highlights:

At his best, McRoberts resembles something of a poor man's Lamar Odom (or as the Dallas Mavericks called such a player this season, "Lamar Odom.") Another lefty with a surprisingly good handle for somebody 6'10", McRoberts isn't quite the playmaker on the break as LO, but he's capable of taking a defensive rebound past halfcourt, and from a halfcourt set actually passes the ball very well. Unfortunately, that's also where the comparison basically ends. As a scorer, McRoberts' range is more or less the rim. Unless putting back an offensive rebound or dunking, the guy provides no ability to spread the floor or even a presence worth guarding. And while his 24/7 effort is commendable, it didn't always translate into quality defense.

Statistics
50 games, 14.4 mpg, 2.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1 apg, .4 bpg, .475 FG

Highlights
McRoberts wasted no time making a strong impression while filling in for a suspended Andrew Bynum. Eight rebounds were pulled down in the season opener against Chicago. Three games later, he scored a season-high 10 against the Knicks, with two blocks and three steals thrown in for good measure. Kobe Bryant praised on a few occasions the team's early-season gritty vibe as a byproduct of adding McRoberts. Josh also developed a fast alley-oop chemistry with Steve Blake, which led to Lakers fans puffing out their chests about their own "Lob City." On a few occasions, the big lug opted to play the enforcer role in defense of a teammate, always a crowd-pleaser.

Lowlights
A strong start was thwarted by a January toe injury that sidelined McRoberts for six games. February and the first half of March was spent out of the rotation altogether, as Mike Brown opted to run with a floor-stretching Troy Murphy as the primary reserve big man. After winning back the gig in late-March, he eventually lost it again to Jordan Hill heading into the playoffs.

Hey, new guy here, long time reader of the boards first time poster, so here we go......

I like most on here are a life long Magic fan and are still furious over the trade that Henny made. Not only cause its sending Dwight to LA (at least its not Brooklyn) but the fact we got NOTHING in return and only got rid of Duhon (yippee) flat out stinks!! The worst part about this trade is to me this makes us a 30-35 win team, not making the playoffs and gettting somewhere around a 14-15th pick in the draft, wow!!.

We're not gonna be a lottery team so why take back these players we got? To me the whole roster looks like nothing but role players no stars/stars in the making. If we still had Dwight Affalo and Harringotn would have been upgrades to the roster but no Dwight whats the point??

I for one was happy when we signed Henny but after these roster moves I've seen so far, its looking more and more like we got Otis 2.0. I'm done with this team trying to "build" through the draft, its not gonna work. I like most are tired of grooming Super-Stars only to see them want out when they hit there prime. The only way I ever see us winning a ring is if we luck out and can try and sign 2 max free agents at once then we have maybe 4-5 year window to get it done.

I know most/all of my points have already been said on here, so my bad for just saying it again (just frustrated like most on here). Look forward to posting on here with the rest of ya'll as we have mediocrity to look forward to this season. GO MAGIC!!!

The only alternatives are not praise or talk smack you can say nothing which normally happens the fact that they dont have to praise him but they are choosing to instead of just sayin nothing

Harkless seems like a good guy, and well-spoken. Whether he's a future star or not remains to be seen.

This is very encouraging i think this guy will suprise some people i wouldnt rule out Pau Gasol as a possible ceiling i think people that are calling him at best a career backup center are completely wrong he has upside and here if we can trade Davis he will be our starting center

what i think makes it more intriguing is that this upcoming season will only be in his second year.....We get him in that gym and develop him he can be a contributor this upcoming season.....

The more of these interviews I watch, the more I like Harkless as a person. He seems comitted, intelligent, and self-aware. He seems like he'll be a very good fit next to Andrew Nicholson.
