Bynum used to take way too much space, it's going to be interesting how it's going to work with Dwight, who is more dynamic than Drew but has no jumper.

I always told this here. Pau is too skilled, so if you give him a little of time and space for him to work on his moves he'll take most defenders to school.

But gotta love the way he let bynum have the paint and he had to become basically a shooter to spread it out for bynum.

Howard is a different animal, tho. He wants the ball on the low post but Nash will feed him a lot off PnRs to make him happy and most important, Pau will probably play ~10 minutes per game as a C with Jamison as a stretch out PF... SO that'll probably help him to get more touches on the low post.

Yea last season Pau was taken out of the paint completely but he did still shoot 50% I would like him to get more touches closer to the hoop though. I was cheering both teams, I'm English so I was just happy that either way a Laker was winning gold :D

I always thought Laker fans and NBA fans in general do not appreciate just how good Pau is. I always wanted him for my favorite NBA team.

I am happy for Pau that he didn't get traded. I think he will be a huge beneficiary of the Dwight Howard deal if he can stay healthy. Pau is going to put up big numbers with Howard out, and by the end of the season I expect he will enjoy a great playoff run.

It's exciting and I'm looking forward to seeing the Lakers play this year. I think Dwight won't ask the ball as much in the post, he'll focus on defense and offensive rebs+dunks+PnR. Gasol&Jamison is the perfect frontcourt, and I'd love to see Kobe play some SF (Blake can be a shooter off the ball too).

If he starts the year at C and has some 21/10 like stats does he look like a trade market possibility again?

No.....at least I hope not, he makes us a much better team so I'd like to see him stay.

This is more than enough proof that Pau is still a beast. Its Mike Browns **** system that screws everything up. Congrats for a great game Pau!

They may deal him if it gets them a young star, I have no doubt about that. If you can at least make the team as good today as in the future and acquire a young guy they'll think about it.

Pau was terrific today, he looks fluid and mentally he looks at ease. Which for him will relax his game and now he can just play. Pau will be fine this year, I don't think we'll bang on him too hard, but come playoffs is where he has to redeem himself and he knows it.

And why would the other team trade a young version of pau for the old version?

Post about trading Pau after the moves LA just made makes me question alot of posters on here. I love Pau and I was down for trading him before getting Nash. The team really needed a new direction, but now with Howard in the mix, why on earth would you ever trade Pau when he's avg 21/10? Thats just downright stupid.
