Kobe VIs for indoor(need to upgrade because I need ankle protection), buy new adidas runners for outdoor every year.

It's wierd, but running shoes are great for outdoors, if your not an above the rim type player.

Any suggestions for indoor ball shoes with good ankle protection, Kali?

Pro tip: Analgesic gels work wonders for joint sprains.

I feel your pain bruh.
Your ankle gets weaker more and more every time you injure it. Especially with age.

We gotta fight it father time happens to everyone but if you rest ,lift and rehab right you could do anything as long as you want.

I spent over 400 bucks in therapy this past year for Accupuncture, electro stimulants, and massage treatments. I'm damn near back to form butnthismtime around I'm gonna make sure I keep myself protected

Like an idiot, I thought I could play through it and re-injured myself. Now I take this whole ankle business dead serious.

Did those procedures work?

**** pain still lingers.

and those procedures better work. sounds expensive. settled on massage treatments, nightly hot compresses, paraffin treatments, and flexing my ankles every morning.

@BT most these Nike kicks nowadays are shifting to a lower , lighter cut type shoes.
The NBA players approve because they get their ankles taped up anytime they hit up the hardwood.

This past season Kobe and Lebrons Nike teams acknowledged that kids were busting their ankles rocking theirs signatures so they toughen up their current models.

The Lebron 9 has a really sturdy leather upper and they gotta be the favorites.
The Kobe 7 with the insertable insole with the brace are pretty good as well. A little softer the the Lebrons at the ankle but if you brace up under that you'll be super duper protected

I'm still balling in the Zoom Hyperfuse. An always Ankle braced up.

@BT
It definitely work. I was back on the court early like an idiot maybe 2-3 months than what was expected.
Plus your gonna love the Hyperfuses, super duper comfortable and real breathable.
You might want to get a 0.5 size bigger so it will fit more comfortably with your ankle brace. So if you are going to buy it online ( Eastbay got a good sale right now) try em on at your local footlocker first.

@Tugs
yeah bro, it was brutal.
It happened one day I was hooping without my brace.

I thought I broke my $#!T.
I was depressed for like a full week.
When the x-rays came back and I found out it wasn't broken I was sooooo relieved.

I'm no doctor, but was it the outside of your ankle that you sprained? Looks like some stress there.

Where is Gek when you need him?

Planar x-rays don't really tell you much about soft tissues (unless you can see a ligament pulling a bone away) and Kali's looks like a pretty dated machine, making it more difficult - works well for breaks/fractures still. You can get more soft tissue information out of a CT scan though because it's not a projection through your body - a planar x-ray is like shining a flashlight through your hand and CT is like slicing your hand into pieces, but both use "x/gamma rays".

Let's say I get a CT scan and it malfunctions, blasting me with Gamma rays. Can I then Hulk out when I'm mad? Or do my swimmers just get dopey? Hoping for the former.
