Well, Kapono has proved to be a good shooter too but he was a failed experiment. Its always a gamble with specialists, if they aren't doing what they're good at they are essentially useless and have to be pulled from the lineups.

I'm nervous about Meeks being one-dimensional since those players don't seem to survive in todays NBA, but at worst he'll be a regular season sharpshooter.

Would you guys rather have Kenyon Martin or Carlos Delfino?

Kapono is washed up. So is Martin. This kid is just starting. But I definitely wouldn't have minded Delfino. Maybe they thought he was too expensive.

Luckily we only have only one bench player playing under a terrible contract. This should give us flexibility to fill holes as the season progresses. Far more flaxibility than last year.

We need to get rid one of Blake or Duhon before talking about signing another potential bench player.

Martin in washed up based off what 3 months of actual ball last year? His D wasn't washed up at all as he stopped Marc and Zach from raping the clippers better than Duncan did the year before single handily and even took Gay out the picture with everything on the line.

I thought Martin played well for the Clipps last year, especially defensively. Age doesn't seem to have diminished his D in any capacity.

He can defend almost 5 positions and could be an asset against the Griffins/Gasols of the world. Honestly think he could even slow Lebron down some, as he wouldn't be able to post him up and Martin can move his feet to stay with guards.
