Not playing them would have worked wonders, absolutely.

Nelson
Redick
Afflalo
Harrington
Davis

Afflalo doesnt play well at 3, he needs to play at 2.

He was saying Stan wouldn't use young guys and ma... nevermind.

He is only looking at scoring numbers. I think he assumes that JRich being able to score 12 PPG will replace what Iggy does.

On a related note, why was everyone so angry about the Richardson contract in the first place? Look at similar guys (30 year old spot up shooters) and you will see that his salary is about average. Was it the length? I am much more pissed about the Big Baby deal.

Big Baby has better talent in his crap than Jrich has in his whole body.

Jrich is declining, constantly hurt whos not that effective.
Big Baby plays hard and goes out and does something and can play solid Man defense

This. Plus big's contracts are usually higher than SG/SF. I'm happy we got rid of J-Rich and Du-Du. If only we could somehow ship Hedo's ass out of Orlando... None of then is suited to perform in heart and hustle style we need to implement now.

Next season Hedo and his expiring contrat will be a good trade chip.

FirstTake is going in on the D12 trade. Skip gave it a G. Lower than an F lol.

It is tough to defend the trade. We got hosed anyway you look at it.

 at other teams' fans being pissed at us.

John Denton ‏@JohnDenton555
#Magic 's $17.8 million Traded Player Exception is believed to be the biggest in NBA history. Magic have 1 yr to use it if they want.

John Denton ‏@JohnDenton555
Consider this #Magic fans: #Mavs had $12M TPE for losing T.Chandler; used to get L.Odom; that gave Lakers TPE they used to get S.Nash.

This was scripted and the NBA is completely rigged. Thus, the Magic got hosed for being a part of the NBA. Stern wanted his LA/Miami matchup and I am sure a large portion of the $500 mil of the profits that the NBA will generate worldwide with Dwight in LA will go to Devos. There is no conceivable reason for this trade to go through unless the league is rigged.

Because, if the Magic kept Dwight until the trade deadline, they would have received a better deal. But, the damage done to Dwights reputation would have been too severe. Stern laid down the law and made a deal so that Devos gets more money out of it. Heck, Adidas could have given Devos an extra $100 million to make this deal happen too. I am sure Devos made out like a bandit and a villain at the same time.

I don't understand how anyone could defend this trade or consider that the league is not fixed. It is that obvious that the Magic could have waited and gotten a better deal even from a team that wanted a rental. Especially when everyone within the Magic organization understands that dealing with the Lakers is business suicide.

Also, I am tired of hearing this Heart and Hustle crap. If it makes you feel better after getting scammed by the NBA, then I am happy for you. But, there are 24 other farm teams out there hearting and hustling better than the Magic right now.

You could be right. But I tend to think the lack of competitive balance in the NBA is attributed to the possibility that 70-77% of NBA owners/front offices don't know a thing about basketball or how to run a basketball team. There are too many clowns as GM's and CEO's of teams calling shots. It keeps their basketball teams in NBA purgatory while the teams with the good front offices are able to compete year in and year out. Small market teams can be competitive, as shown by the San Antonio Spurs and OKC Thunder, but they have to manage their teams differently and be creative.

i didnt see any talk about people trying to get Martin's expiring $12mil. Unless a team is tanking hard and wants to move a good player on a big contract (which is slightly rare) who is really going to come after Hedo's contract?

We could trade our TPE to a team who wants to be under the cap next offseason and have a big contract that expires in 2014 + some picks, because our goal is 2014.

For example: Emeka + Wizards Draft Pick for TPE.

I'd trade our TPE & Ayon to Golden State for Biendrins & #1 pick. Or Turk for Biendrins & TPE for Jefferson for two #1s. GSW would be good players in FA next summer.
