Why do most realgm'rs hate " superteams but...

Love the way it used to be. You know, back when the Bulls ( a stacked team) won 6 out of 8 NBA titles?

If MJ does not take a break for two years because of gambling trouble, the Bulls very well could have won 8. Most teams of that era had one star surrounded by role players ( Knicks, Rockets, Blazers, Spurs, Pacers); or A star surrounded by a fringe star and role players ( Suns, Sonics); or very rarely , a two star team like Utah that had some decent role players, but weren't that great defensively.

The Bulls had MJ and Scottie ( two superstars), had fringe stars around them like Kukoc, Grant and Rodman( in Rodmans case not an offensive star, but a hall of fame big that was a monster on the glass and could guard anyone), other good role players like Harper, Kerr, Longly.

They were by far and away the most stacked team of that era. so much so that when MJ " played baseball" they went to 7 games against the eventual EC champs.

yet we still here the same BS crying from fans : WE HATE SUPER TEAMS!, THIS ISN'T FAIR!, THEY TOOK OUR JOBS!, MY MOM IS A TRANNY! etc etc etc. Granted the formation of these superteams is differen't than the formation of the Bulls who built through the draft and nabbed some other good players from free agency. They are still super teams none the less and did nothing against the rules. Our current group of super teams did nothing against the rules either except that LA paid Stern to force Dwight to go there. That really isn't that bad.

How can people idolize the golden age and then scream for parity? The bulls won 6 championships in 8 years..........The Celtics and Lakers literally played each other in finals like every other season back in the 80's and lakers were still in the finals in 1991. At least now we can think of 3 teams that have a legit shot at winning the ring, for the better part of the decade of the 90's there was only 1.

Now that I look at the general board I can see a thread " bulls were a super team" that is basically exactly like what my thread was about.

Today's lesson: look at the GB before ranting.
