I guess we could do with a backup 3.....I like Ebanks though as long as he has improved his jumper and can shoot 3s now

Honestly wouldn't mind take a shot at Oden/Big Ben/Dampier/T-Mac/Pietrus/Josh Howard

Baron Davis + Barbosa, Delfino or McGrady would be great.

Oden won't play this year. I would love to grab him next year as a back up to Dwight.

I really think pietrus would fit perfectly a back up 3. Defender and shooter.

They just committed to Jordie Meeks as the backup 2, I think the "Barbosa to Lakers" ship has sailed. Meanwhile, I think our targets should be backup 3 (even after Ebanks signing) and backup 5 (not as important b/c I think Sacre would be fine as our 5th big). My choices for backup 3 in order are: Twill, Tmac, Pietrus, Webster.

Barbosa and Pietrus for sure. The only guys I would go after.
I think they want more money though. I also heard that Pietrus had committed to Boston already.

Delfino just signed with Houston, unfortunately.

Martell Webster and Michael Redd could be nice pickups. Maybe a chance on Gilbert Arenas too?

Lakers should have gone after barbosa. Hes a veteran, is excellent at getting to the basket and can score the ball on most nights without trouble. He would be excellent to come off the bench and could be depended on to play big minutes at the 1 and 2(Kobe and Nash need the rest, epecially during the regular season. His defense is suspect but this would be a great signing(im praying they do this),he also played with nash b4. This could contribute to the team gelling a lot quicker.

I want a guard who isn't afraid to shoot it off the bench.

So what I'm saying is I hope we get an old vet that is a ballhog that lives in the past, that use to be a star but is still good enough to deliver against bench players

Basically the small version of Jamison.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Sounds like you want a T-Mac/Gilbert Arenas type player. Even Barbosa somewhat fits that description. That is one thing i hated about every player except Kobe and Bynum last year. Whenever Gasol or blake etc were in the court without Kobe or Bynum they would just play hot potato with the damn ball. At that point even a bad shot would have been better than no shot. This is where Gasol gets on my nerves. When you want him to be aggressive, he becomes a passer compared to where you see him play for Spain and you can clearly see that he is still a beast. Hopefully Nash changes this.

I would say TMAC or Webster. Webster can be a real solid performer in the correct situation. I jjust don't know about his man - to - man D. Regardless, I think the Lakers should look to add some youth, I believe adding TMAC or even GA would be a quick fix, but the Lakers need fresh young legs off the bench, that can possibly be developed and utilized in a more extensive role in the coming years. I'm looking some of the young guys who can shoot it. Webster, Gee, Sam Young, Donte Greene etc. One player that I wouldn't mind who is slightly older is Pietrus
