Absolutely :)

I'd rather pay a dog 4 mil to be our backup PG and have some good laughs during games than paying Duhon 4mil to see him stack up 8-second violations

They're in the middle of a rebuild. I doubt they'd take that trade. They'd give up one of their lottery picks, who could turn out to be a pretty good player, for solid role players and a bad pick?

Anyone else think of that if Dwight does not re-sign with LA, Nash and Kobe retire, that 2017 pick could actually be pretty good.

dont get your hopes up on that one. when kobes and nash's and pau's contract ,if im not mistaken, is up is a really good FA pool and LA will easily create another big three that offseason for Dwight and continue their cycle of dominance

I like where your head is at, but I don't see Houston making a trade with us for a while after being spurned on the Dwight deal.

I could see them listening if that deal was straight up for K-Mart, but they won't include Lamb. Heck, I don't think they offered Lamb and Martin for Howard.

I dunno, its possible but the 2014 free agents are older or not realistic imo.

I don't see Wade/Bosh/Lebron going anywhere, same for Melo. I guess Pierce will be available, but he'll prob be close to hanging it up. The class isn't quite as ripe as its being made out to be.

They could get J Smoove/Gay and Monta though and we could see how that "Slightly Above Average 3" does.

I love it but I doubt it.

Imagine, If we use that TPE or whatever that's in a guy like Al Jefferson.

Jefferson, Nicholson, Harkless, Lamb, Nelson

Keeping Dwight here was and needed to be our priority number 1. Even Hennigan tried to get him to stay. Just because the relationship soured, I never let that come in the way of what I thought was best for this team. Too many fans (including you as I recall...I could be wrong) reacted like a guy who's girlfriend dumped him and now he didn't want anything to do with her. I have a hard time getting along with people who put logic aside and base their opinions on their emotions.

Lol I never went off emotion.. I just realized he didn't want to play for the magic and said so himself various times. So I thought he shoul get traded. I don't even hate on Dwight he's a good fit for the Lakers. He'll get a ring, just not as the #1 option. It just sucked the way he went out but it is what it is.

The Lakers pick is only top 5 protected.

SpursFan4Life wrote:I dont know what is so hard for some Magic fans to understand. The Nets deal was wayyyy better than this. Your GM let his personal feeling get in the way because he wanted to show Brooklyn who was boss and he let the Magic organization and their fans down in the process. Nets were going to give Lopez on a max deal which the Magic could have flipped to the Bobcats or Portland for more picks and young assets(both Portland and Charolette wanted to sign Lopez to a max deal)...good luck doing that with Harrington and Affalo. Nets were also giving Marshon Brooks who is a lot better than Harkless to build around. Nets also offer 4 unprotected 1st round picks as opposed to the 3 protected picks that the Magic got in this deal. And the icing on the cake....Nets were gonna take back Duhon's and Hedo's contracts. Last time I checked...Hedo is still on the team. So you can try and say this was the best deal...but the rest of the NBA fans know it is a joke and the Magic got crushed. It is what it is.

May I ask why you created an account just to torture us Magic fans for the trade?

I was just thinking what kind of reception do you guys think jrich will get in his return to Otown? I know he wasnt a favorite around here but in all honesty its not his fault Otis overpaid him and that he wasnt a real focal point in this offense and SVG started him over JJ.
