Re: State of the Roster
I think with the current roster we're a 30+ win team, which will probably be bad enough for a top-10 pick, but not quite bad for a top-5 pick. Sadly the Kings and some of those east teams are really good at tanking.
I like our team as is, although I'm still hopeful that Martin will be traded.
It'd be nice if we also could find takers for the younger players that will be buried on the bench, but (still) may have some value, (JuJuan Johnson, Marcus Morris, Harrellson/Greg Smith).

Re: State of the Roster
im watching this team
i Love what they are doing with the draft picks
idk y sign Delfino
u dont want him taking any of Lambs minutes or Parsons / Terrence
im NOT sold on Lin or Asik
ill b watching and following Lamb, Parsons, Terrence, Royce
and it seems alot of you like patterson
i think morris and patterson can/should b moved along with kmart and delfino
at the trade deadline
u should b able to get more picks out of those 4

Delfino signing is to meet the league minimum team salary
we are very thin at SF/SG
Lin signing is all about Asia market
owner Les will get all those money back from Taiwan/China advertisement
Asik -- well Morey likes him very much, been trying to trade for him last season

Which is really unfortunate. I really really want a top 3 pick. Easiest way to get a star is through a top pick.
This juggling asset staying competitive nonsense wont get us anywhere.

This team will be exciting since its age but the age is also why we will suck.

Re: State of the Roster
guys Lin took a ragtag team with no all-stars to a winning streak called Linsanity.
Lin
Fields
Jeffries
Tyson
Shumpert
though it's much better to have a top 3 pick in the lottery next offseason since it's a probable Laker championship next season.

Mark Deeks (of ShamSports) said Sean Williams agreed to push back the date when his contract will become guaranteed. Pretty sure it's still non-guaranteed and the Rockets will cut Williams before his contract does become guaranteed.

The Rockets always fight. Even when it obviously has not been a fair fight, they go down swining.
That's part of the allure. That and the team almost never beats itself in close games.
