Teixeira's MVPs-0
Morneau's MVPs-1
Morneau also helps his team Win, something Mark hasn't even experienced...LOL Justin kicks butt, he is younger less experienced and is still arguably better than Teixeira right now...the future won't even be close Justin is on his way up...much faster than Teixiera

I dont understand why everyone is saying Teixeira is better and no one is saying why. Last year Morneau hit 40pts higher with a high obp (slightly), pretty much same hr's and 20 more rbis while being 1 year younger. Im not trying to debate you guys im just saying from someone who hasnt watched either of them much and going by their numbers im jw why yas would all say Teixeira. Also something i found interesting was in '05 Teixeira's numbers looked to be inflated by the Texas Ballpark 30hrs 334avg their while his away was 13hr .270avg.. but last year it kinda swapped - away he was 298avg 21hr while home he was 266avg 12hr. Idk i just thought that was strange. Im not sayin Morneau is better like i said i dont know either of em well as im a met fan and dont see AL much besides yanks.. but im jus lookin for a reason teixeira's better. Also bigboy1234 why did i think you were a marlin fan or am i confusin you with someone else. Was it you with the cabrera avatar a lil while ago? jw no reason

Justin Morneau has had only two full seasons in the Major leagues. In his second full year he was the MVP...While Teixeira has had FOUR and is starting to plateau in his fourth season...
Justin is a better and more patient hitter, he can hit to all sides of the field and strikes out far less...He hits for a much better AVG, while Teixeira is more of a hit or miss type of player. That isn't helping teams as much as having a more complete hitter who will work the count and take what the pitcher gives him...Justin is much more clutch than Teixeira as well, last year justin had almost a 30 point higher AVG with runners in scoring position....
Then if you take into account the defensive side of things is where you'll surely realize that I'm right...He always catches the ball in the dirt and has a much better range than Teixeira...Before Justin was the Twin's 1B it was Doug Meintkewitz, who is undoubtedly the best defensive 1B in the MLB, after the switch we barely skipped a beat besides a very small adjusting period...
Justin "MVP" Morneau is the victor!!!
