His role is going to be interesting to me....Is he supposed to have a Lamar role or is he just backing up Pau? That to me makes all the difference...I can't expect him to score in double figures if he's only backing up Pau. With J.Hill in the roster, I can't see him backing up both, and I expect our bench to have a "Bench Mob" feel to it with not one player being more important the other. Meaning, I don't think Jamison will be a Lamar type sixth man of the year candidate, but he's awesome to have starting next to Pau for the first month of the season and he will be solid playing next to Dwight after. That being said as much as I can't wait till Dwight's first game, the first month of the season will be very fun to watching with Gasol being the primary big man again and our team having legit spacing with Jamison.

Jamison really impressed me with his press conference. He seemed genuinely happy to embrace a bench role, but to still be a prominent contributer. To me it seems like guys who come off the bench in the NBA are usually either unhappy that they aren't starting or not confident enough to come in and make plays. Obviously there are exceptions, especially in the Western Conference it seems, but that's the kind of guy I want on a team like this. I'm very optimistic.

Jamison signed with a team that already had Gasol and Bynum taking up a ton of minutes at two of the spots on the front line. He knows that he's going to have reduced minutes. I give him a little more credit than that.

Yep, I can see him starting at PF with Pau at C as Dwight isn't expected to be ready at the start of the season.

I think he will surprise, i'm expecting about 12ppg from him off the bench.

Antawn Jamison just came off of a 17 ppg season and signed for the vet min to come off the bench. Unbelievable.

I watched all the Cavs games last season, and I can tell you with no hesitation that Jamison was absolutely atrocious. His defense is beyond piss poor and his offense is not much better. Coach brown should not play Jamison at all in the playoffs. Maybe throw him out there for 5-8 minutes a game in the regular season just for laughs, but besides that he will be useless. It doesn't really matter though, I can't see him playing that much with Pau and Dwight in the frontcourt.

Also, Don't be fooled by his ppg last season. He chucked the ball up every time he touched it. Textbook stat padding season.
