I really doubt teams will take him just because of his salary and you know.. the overall ineptness.

He was a free transfer.

He's probably talking about the signing bonus although I'm not sure about the actual amount

Don't think anyone's going to pay 6M for him myself tbh. Think I'd rather go after Berbatov even considering his age

Tbh Wenger has taken so many fliers in that price range that I lost count. You could say the same thing about Fergie but occasionally someone like Chicharito always worked out.

Park is gone, they've already given his (cursed) no. 9 shirt to Podolski. Vela is gone, Denilson is on loan for the year, Squid is gone, Bendtner says he'll be gone by the end of the window, Chamakh would be gone if Besiktas hadn't tried to pay us in I.O.U.'s (should have taken them anyway). I think some French team would take a chance on him, he was very productive there. We got a mil for the Squid should get two or three for Chamakh. Arshavin looks to be headed to Fulham after they sell Dempsey.

This hurts so very much. I feel betrayed as not only a sports fan, but as a person.

I would rather sell for 10 mill abroad then 24 to UTD , disgusting show of loyalty by the player

You'd think the other big clubs could actually do a better job of scouting young players, rather than just poaching all of Arsenal's good players...

Giroud and Podolski signing wouldn't make sense if they brought another expensive strker. Giroud always seemed to me replacement for the Target Man role. Arsenal should focus on looking for a starting quality left back, a holding midfielder and a creative midfielder. M'Vila, Natxo Monreal and Isco would make sense. Sign M'Vila and free Song from such defensive duty.

it's about depth man bendtner and park are leaving , rvp has already left , we'd only have giroud , podolski and chamkah as our strikers, we can't trust giroud already so we're going to need more options and chamakh is not reliable. Besides giroud and podolski will probably start together , so chamkah as first striker off the bench is not an option!

Looks like song is gone as well , wenger better reinvest asap in a defender mbiwa from montpellier or debuchy, a midfielder m'vila or capoue , and a striker dont know who that might be.

You might be right, but Giroud doesn't miss a lot of games, hasn't player less than 36 games a season since 08/09, and you probably won't miss Podolski and Giroud at the same time, probably you'll have a better Gervinho than it was last season, Walcott and Ox.

Even if it's not deep, I wouldn't worry about a blockbuster deal now. You just signed Giroud for a huge fee, Wenger probably have faith on him.
