The Farrelly brothers are a way better fit for those chumps in the Land o' Massholes

NO.....

Jays have a good manager in John Farrel. You can't blame him for the bad season. Injuries and lack of SP depth have killed the Jays. Jays should not make the mistake of letting a good manager out of their hands just cause of a handicapped season.

As for your Daniel Bard idea... eeewww :x, i want nothing to do with that guy. He is a bust as a starter and average at best as a reliever. Is that worth ur manager?

What exactly makes John Farrell desirable? Maybe I can't see it.

Daniel Bard was never just average as a reliever, just saying. He was very solid setting up Papelbon. Nothing to do with whether he would be worthwhile compensation for Farell or if Boston even considers it. But again, average? No.

well farrell has been awful repeatedly, and his mismanagement of the SP and RPs have largely contributed to the bad season before the injuries. the real only thing you can give to him is putting lawrie and rasmus at 1 and 2... but really that wasnt exactly rocket science and it took him a long time to make the move. lawries extreme shift in shallow right has been a credit too i suppose.

either way the bigger mistake is thinking that an average at best reliever (though bards better than that) isnt worth our manager. to AA an average at best reliever is worth his first born.

Everything has a price -- even the manager of a .500 baseball team

Of course I'd dump Farrell.

Despite AA's vaunted "process", there are plenty of better managers than Farrell.

I'm kinda derailing the thread, but how would you guys feel if Butterfield was the next Bluejays manger ? He's been with the team for years, he does a great job as the infield coach and implements the crazy shifts.

They can have Farrell if they want, Butterfield would probably do the same or even a better job.

All this Farrell to the Red Sox rumours is really just silly.

Trade him away, I'll even take Nick Punto in return.
