Ye gods, I finally got to watch some Olympic basketball. Saw the gold and bronze medal games. Shved is going to be just fine and AK-47 is going to shine.

Congratulations!

I´ve enjoyed it so much... Spain played their best and still wasn´t enough. Yes, Marc faul trouble was stupid and Ricky would´ve improved our game, but so would have Howard.

It´s a pity that Pau won´t be there for the next olimpics. I think it´s hard for a country like Spain to repeat a generation close to this one, it´s been fun nonetheless.

I´ve also kept attention to the Russian team due to the Wolves´adquisitions... and my view is that somebody in Minn has a very good eye. I already knew that kirilenko was quite productive in all the areas of the game (which is a lot to say), but I also think Shved is a great gamble at the right price. Defense will be his challenge. He has the tools, but he´ll have to increase the effort or Adelman won´t play him. Appart from that, he´s a great passer and shooter, tall enough... creative... this year I´m going to watch wolves´matches no matter if Ricky´s back or not.

PS: somebody is going to pay Ibaka circa 10M next year and it´s going to be a huge mistake. He´s not a great defender, just a shotblocker, and that´s useful, but doesn´t compensate for his offensive limitations.

this is what i wrote about him a while ago

he's about 6'2 and scoring point guard - pretty darn good athlete and has a very good jumper on him needs to learn how to run a team but extremely young and will come with time and experience. his dad is african american and i believe he was an all conference player at the university of hawaii and played many seasons professionally in new zealand as an all star and was a head coach in the national league for several years up until last year, i believe he married a new zealander and stayed here.

he scored 21 against angola and 18 against greece and also top scored for us against brazil with 8 on 4/5 in only 12 minutes...isn't much of an event but he won gold at the world youth 3 on 3 championship in italy a few years ago with two other extremely promising young players in reuben te rangi and isaac fotu, who is going to play for the university of hawaii. nba? way too early to say i think but if he keeps his head down and working hard he might have a real shot. he has torn up age group levels 2-3 years above his age and he only turned 17 at the end of may so is still extremely young. his brother corey has had stints in the national team.

rumours are around that tai has offers or at least interest from wake forest and pittsburg(stephen adams connection) and apparently has been offered by the university of hawaii(his fathers school and his friend isaac fotu's new school.

What's rarely talked about is Kevin Love improving off of last year, it's hard to imagine him being that much better then last year after how amazing he was, but he's still very young and he has progressed greatly every year. He has GREAT work ethic

as good as he was last season, he was still putting things together and figuring things out on the fly. I'm excited for him. I think that he can be real good next season.
