2. 83/84 Sidney Moncrief ------- 6th man (his last season satisfied the criteria)

I am so glad to pick The Squid,who has always been under the radar,he was the leader of the 3rd best team in the eighties,the Bucks,behind Bird's Celtics and Magic's Lakers,and is the GOAT defensive PG according to many.His offense is no slouch either,22/7 on 60 TS% and a league leader in free throws drawn(and made),that's a rich man's Tony Parker.

i wanted moncrief so bad. i thought i could hide him under the radar for a few more rounds. i figured lamar was the only other person who would be as high on him. one of most underrated guards in the history of the league. great pick up.

some great picks in young Grant Hill and Sidney Moncrief. However, I hate to be the jerk to do this, but I don't get how you drafted Moncrief with the Sixth Man category. I'm looking at his career year-by-year stats and it seems to me that there isn't a season that satisfies the "<60G, >10GS, >10PTS/G" criteria. I see that you still can pick him through other categories.

A video of him and Pressey - two forgotten Bucks from the 80s. I probably should upload something more of both of them.

Moncrief is a great sleeper pick, I figured he would be available a little longer though. I can't say that I wanted him badly (since I already have MJ and GP), but I'd probably take him as my sixth man, if he was available.

This next pick will probably surprise some people, but it looks like I really need that chinese vote to send me to victory, so.....

I'll take 2007-2008 Yao Ming and place him in the black hole category. If only Yao could stay healthy, I think he'd be a hall of famer. But hey this is a fantasy draft that excludes health, so whatever.

Reggie doesn't need no handle the ball or pass with Nash and Pippen in the game. I was considering Allen with that pick and both are similar players but I'd give the edge to Miller playing in a tougher time for guards and on weaker teams than the coddled Allen during his career. Plus 90's ball was just cooler

It's a solid pick, I, for one, was also considering taking Yao this round.
Hypothetically, if Yao was more fortunate with his health and played about ten 20/9 seasons, I'd say that he has a legitimate place in Bill Simmons Pyramid.

Yeah I'm actually kind of surprised myself. Hell, Derrick Rose might have been a better option! I mean yeah he was a top 3 point guard in that year but so was Tony Parker, who also hasn't been taken.

Maybe he picked him more for the category.

This next pick will probably be questioned when it comes to voting because people will undoubtedly forget how crazy dominant he was in his prime and instead focus on the demise in the later stages of his career. Oh well.

Let's see what Bill Simmons has to say about him:

he ran the floor better than any big man ever, finished off alley-oops from every conceivable angle (and some that hadn't been conceived yet), and dunked on everyone in sight. He was Seattle's dominant big man on teams that averaged 50 wins from 93-97, including a 96 team that won 64 games and lost to Chicago in the Finals.

In the 96 playoffs, he outplayed Hakeem in a sweep of Houston, bested Malone in the Jazz series, and thrived in the finals against Rodman.

Sounds good to me.

By now, the gameplan should be obvious. These freaks of athletic nature are going to outrun, outmuscle, and outman your team into a pile of whimpering baby food.

They're going to run you up and down the floor and turn games into a dunk drill. And in the rare occasions you're able to slow them down to a half court, that won't be a problem either.

Why? Because if you don't double down on Shaq, it's an automatic two. Either he's going to make the shot or one of my high flyers is going to grab the offensive board and flush on somebody. If you do double, all it does it leave lanes open for the slashers to catch lobs or Ray open to drop bombs from deep. And that's before you have to worry about Isiah picking you apart.

I remember watching Kemp back then and thinking he was the best power forward in the NBA.

I always got into arguments with Malone fans, but I always thought that Kemp was the better post scorer at that time.

To round out my starting 5 I'm going to select one of the most athletic players to ever play the NBA.

He will for ever be remembered for his many exciting dunks including that awesome dunk in the Olympics over the 7'2 Weis.

So for the journeyman slot I pick 2000-01 Vince Carter.

27.6pts, 5.5 rebs, 3.9 asts, 1.5 stls, 1.1 blks, while shooting 40.8% from 3.
It often felt that Vince could do what ever he wanted on the court if he really wanted to.
