Also, if we ever expect this team to consider paying the tax, avoiding the 4-of-5 year penalty is essential. And with the Rose injury, there is no reason whatsoever to use 2012-2013 toward one of those years. None.
I never said why would you wanna trade Rip. I was wondering why you were hoping that it'd cost a pick to do it. Rip+Cash at the deadline would basically amount to a team paying Rip about 2 million bucks spread out over 2 seasons. I would HOPE that he plays good enough to make it a flat deal-- Minnesota might be interested for example (depending on the amount of knees Brandon Roy still owns comes February).
All u would be able to get back for rip would be a washing machine like in semi pro...
But let's be realistic, the bulls are gonna tank this year, thats the only excuse for signin vlad and nate robinson
The main question is what postion do they draft with they're lottery pick, ans how do they resign taj??
Because Scal and JL3 were crucial pieces and that is who those two replaced? If they replaced Rose and boozer with those pieces I would agree clearly tanking. I have never seen people more obsessed with players at the end of the rotation.
