thats the "fun" of these drafts. Seeing your plans turn to crap when someone else drafts your player.

The best part is other people admitting that you stole their pick. It makes you think that you really did a great job taking that guy.

magic has requested that management draft more finishers. with that in mind, team fatlever selects tom chambers for the double #s category (#22 with hornets). we will be using the 1989-90 version of chambers. in 89-90 chambers averaged 27.2ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.3apg on 50% fg. there have been few forwards in the league who were more devastating in the open court. chambers will score 16 points simply on alley-oops from magic.

PG: Magic Johnson 1986-87: 23.9ppg, 6.3rpg, 12.2apg, 52% - NBA MVP, Finals MVP, 1st Team NBA
SG: Allen Iverson 2000-01: 31.1ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.6apg, 2.5spg, 42% - NBA MVP, 1st Team NBA
SF: Chris Mullin 1991-92: 25.5ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.5apg, 2.1spg, 52% - 1st Team NBA
PF: Tom Chambers 1989-90: 27.2rpg, 7.0rpg, 2.3apg, 50% - 2nd Team NBA
C: Patrick Ewing 1989-90: 28.6ppg, 10.9rpg, 4.0bpg, 55% - 1st Team NBA

With the next pick in the Scavenger Hunt draft, A Different World selects 2010-11 Derrick Rose born in Chicago, IL for the category "Windy City"

24.1 PPG 7.4 APG 3.9 RPG

Derrick is a perfect fit for my team, and creates a match up nightmare. On certain nights T-Mac can slide to the SF position, and Rose can start at SG depending on match ups. Where he will be most effective however is off the bench as the perfect change of pace PG to back up Jason Kidd.

And just like like, fats has moved into the lead for the whitest team award.

Bird has street cred and Dirk is German

Mullin has a crew cut and Chambers has a mullet.

Be interesting to see where this obvious competition for most whiteys goes next.

I started worrying about rebounding in your starting lineup until I realized that Magic Johnson is in there too!

No I want a Derrick Rose injured on my bench for the playoffs. Thanks for the catch I have edited the original post. I need to quit completely shutting down my brain on the weekends.

With their next selection A Different World selects, arguably the greatest one on one player in the NBA, "The Truth" 2001-02 Paul Pierce for the category "March Madness"

team fatlever isnt done selecting nasty finishers. magic wants more. so with that in mind, we select antonio mcdyess using the black hole category. we will be using his 2000-01 season (the last before he wrecked his knees). in 00-01 he averaged 20.8ppg, 12.1rpg on 49% shooting. its a shame mcdyess only played 5 healthy seasons in the league and all his great seasons spent on an obscure denver team. so many people never had the chance to see this man obliterate the rim and rebound like his paycheck depended on it. he was a freak of nature around the rim.

looking at the white stiff category, there was one player who I think clearly stood out from the rest and could really affect the outcome of a game.

Image

So I'm going to pick the biggest of the white stiff's Mark Eaton 1984-85.
Where he averaged career high's with 9.7pts, 11.3rebs and an insane 5.6blks.
