If we replace Song with Biglia, I'm gonna flip. It better be M'Vila AND Sahin.

Biglia used to be in our(Galatasaray) radar but Fatih Terim said he is not good enough to play for us. I highly doubt he comes to Arsenal.

Do we know what happened with the Squillaci transfer to Olympiakos? Is it still going to happen, or is it dead?

Some good news for Madrid after that unspectacular start. Sahin wanted Arsenal and he got it! Appears as though he actually agreed to lower financial terms to do so as well.

We still need M'Vila. Sahin is a Xabi Alonso-type player, he'll have some nice tackles and interceptions, but he cannot protect a defense.

Also, a striker is absolutely paramount. I would break the bank for Cavani, he's perfect. Of course it's a pipe dream though -.-

Squillaci hasn't been mentioned for days now. I wouldn't say anything is dead, but I'd be surprised if the rumor resurfaces. We just signed Contreras from PAOK.

Podolski, Giroud, Cazorla, Sahin, and M'Vila. All I can say is wow. I think that is definitely enough to keep us in the Champions League.

Well the transfer window closes in two days so we won't have to wait very long to find out who is coming in vs. going out.

Wenger said today wilshere and sagna should be back in training soon after the next round of internationals , great great news. Spent a lot of my day watching jack wilshere videos and getting excited. Can't hope for too much as he's been out of football for more than a year now

I'd actually have liked if Macheda/Joshua King/Henriquez were loaned out to Arsenal too bad it just won't happen. There's a good chance those guys will get solid PT on your team and we have like 11 strikers on roster.

They're not good enough to get playing time at Arsenal. If young players were going to get any time up front, we would have kept Miyaichi and Afobe instead of loaning them out.

At least Macheda and Henriquez are closer to the 1st team talent though and they will likely get some burn in the cup competitions if Wenger decides to save Giroud from injuries.

Our cup strikers will likely feature Welbeck and Hernandez.

I could see Wenger using them in the Carling Cup, but that's about it unless someone gets hurt. They're just not good enough to play at Arsenal's level (still a top 8 club, possibly higher) in the EPL or the bigger cup tournaments. Assuming we play the 4-3-3/4-5-1 that Wenger likes, we have 7 players for the 3 spots up front. 3 of them can play as pure strikers in the middle. The other 4 are wingers. Then we have Rosicky and Cazorla who could play winger (and Ramsey in a pinch) if needed. I think that's enough to make due for FA/UCL and for the EPL, but it's definitely cutting it close.

Welbeck or Hernandez would probably be the only young guys up front Wenger would take on loan from United and actually use but I don't see that happening...ever.
