It's astonishing how badly people shot back then. Those games must have been awful to watch. What was the deal? Were fouls simply not called? How can you shoot that poorly?

What's hilarious is that this example counters the claptrap about PGs with high Offensive Win Shares -- that is teams with a PG who dominates OWS -- can't win titles. The team leader in OWS was the 5-11 Buddy Jeannette -- who led the team in FG% (.349), FT% and assists (1.5 per game). He also coached the team.

You need at least two elite players, or one elite and a bunch of really really good role players(Mavs of last year).

The chances of just a elite PG are slim to none. We will need to get another elite player or 2. Looking at our roster our best young assests are Wall(potential top 3 PG. elite player in NBA) Bradley Beal ( a efficient scorer who is above average at everything. I think he can be a second tier SG and be in mix for all star games.) then Seraphin (put up 15 and 7 with good D in april. With his attitude he may develp into a fringe all star.) With that trio we have drafted, we better hope Ernies plan of us being able to ship Okafor/Ariza expiring deal while the young 3 get a year or 2 of playoff experience better work or we maybe on track for the playoff purgatory.

With the number of top-flight PG's running around the league at the moment, one of them is bound to lead their team to a chip once Lebron and Wade slow down a bit in a few years.

Hope its us! But yeah we need at least one other genuine all-star and another player that is at least on the cusp of being considered an all-star.
