Haha... Maybe it was a little obscure...

The BBC has a penchant for producing seemingly never-ending period television series'... Everything from ancient Rome to Victorian England... If you still go to a video rental place or store you can find them in the Foreign section... Usually like 9 or 10 DVDs for the slowest, most long-winded, anti-climactic cinema you will ever watch... So I suggest, don't...

On a whim one summer at UCSB, when school was out, Goleta was basically empty, and I had little to do, I went to the video rental place and decided I was going to rent one... 8 VHS tapes in which absolutely nothing happened...

The BBC created I Claudius in the 70's which got a lot of attention and I think started the trend...

It was the complete history of ancient Rome... In real time...

guys, real problem here:

could you date/bang a girl who has the same name as your mother???

My dilemma is my mom's name isn't some common name like Jessica or Stephanie or Veronica so the odds of the same name are pretty slim. This girl and I met at the beginning of last semester. I could tell she was diggin me pretty quickly, by the second meeting we had. I started working full time right after so I stopped going. Still we would keep talking every now and then when I saw her at some club outing, which I went to twice.

Now this girl isn't some slut, or else I honestly wouldn't entertain the thought but despite the name, she's very gf material just can't get past the name. I call her by her middle name which she likes but still. Thoughts?

Name isn't a dealbreaker.. I was gonna suggest a nickname but yea basically only call her by her middle name and make a nickname or two for her that's just between you two

Thanks bro, she's transferring to CSUN and was forward enough to ask to see me as we won't be in the same school next semester. I have several issues here,

1) same name as my mom

2) not sure if i want a gf, some days I do some days I don't. she seems to be looking for something like that :-?

small note: my sister also met her as we all went to that same club. my sis thinks she's worth dating, and likes her a lot for me. this is why it probably bugs me, the issue has gotten to my home as opposed to just staying in my mind. might be easier to see a girl like this if my sister didn't know her at all :dontknow:

Not problems with her, just feels awkward. I called her by her first name once and my penis almost fell off. I also felt incredibly dirty and this overwhelming sense of shame. No I did not jedi fap myself out but that's when I decided to ask for her middle name, don't remember how I got that info but it was hard to find a reason not to use her first name, didn't want to tell her she has the same name as my mom. Like I said my mom's name isn't common so it's just weird for me. If my mom's name was something like Amanda, Catherine or something, it'd be much easier but who knows maybe i'm messed up

It's a shtick that has strong RealGM roots (no idea about it origin though)

Typically you list 4 steps with the third being ???? and the fourth "Profit", the first two are supposed to be witty and semi on topic.
