Whats the Lakers board take on this dude? Never got to see much of him in college and one game with the Kings. Seems like he is the odd man out in Sactown

Yeah, if we could somehow get him, I'd be more than happy with him as our backup point guard.

he's NOT a PG period! he needs to be used like Terry, run him around and get him wide open shots otherwise he's useless. Anyways we already have Meeks for backup SG

I'm pretty sure he is better than Blake is. I'd be more than content having him as PG eve though he is more SG than PG. So he WOULD be best backup PG for us.

Yes. He was best PG in college in his draft class.

hes alright too bad hes playing for the kings. its hard to see any rookie grow as a player on that squad. i wouldnt mind giving all backup pg mins to him, but us getting him isnt happening

hardly, but his short stint thus far in Sac has proven he is not good enough to be a PG in this league. Thats why it seems Sac is already willing to give up on him. He's not quick enough to beat his man off the dribble, he looks to shoot more than pass and even than its hard for him to get his shot off effectively if he's being defended. As far as Jimmer being better than Blake, that not really saying much since a dleague scrub could be better than Blake but stats say otherwise though, he's not much better at all. It was his rookie season so I'll give him benefit of the doubt but I still stand by my comments that he's not a PG, he's an undersize 2.

He's not a PG, but hes a huge defensive liability at the 2 spot. Add that to the fact that the kings are already full of chuckers, its hard for him to find minutes. Yes hes better than glock, but that doesnt necessarily mean hes good. Need to build more muscle and quickness. I can see him being a JJ Redick in this league. Once he bulks up a bit, though.

You lost me at the end, Fredette is 6'2" 195 and Reddick is 6'4" 193....he really doesnt have a body type issue. He just needs to adapt to the NBA and become a shooter it seems. The bulking comment is waaay off lol.

Jimmer cannot run an offense. Never mind in SAC. I watched summer league and he can't bring the ball up the floor. the 24 second clock is at 12 when they start initiating the offense. he would fit well on a team with big ball handlers such as lebron/iggy/etc and just run off screens/stand in the corner and space the floor. thats all he could do for now. being a defensive liability is obvious but not a huge problem as long as the opposing 1,2,3's arent all great players. he just has to be a 3 pt specialist and thats why coming out of college, he was seen as a player with a low ceiling.

We could use some shooters. Reminds me alot of Redick actually. Here, assuming that one of Balke or Duhon is still here, he'd just battle with Meeks for minutes. We could afford to have him run around and get open with Nash on the floor.

Well i will be honest with you ..as i have not really seen Jimmer play enough to have a hard opinion on this because i have only watched about 10 Kings games where he played. If i had scouted enough of his games or were remotely interested in paying attention to the Kings i might have more a stance one way or the other.

What i do know is that when he was in college i thought he was so overrated and i could not believe most analyst' thought he would "easily" come into the NBA and do what he did in college.

You have to admit he was sick out of his mind in college but in the NBA he really has not found his stride.

Perhaps he needs to train with Mr. Morrison and grow a beard and some long hair.
