This debate about Al Horford is interesting...

(Still can't understand why anyone thinks the Hawks will part with him though :-/)

dof, I agree with you. Seems some not-so-smart-thinking Net fans believe Hawks are having a fire sale.

Hawks could and would get a VERY good deal from a team that wants Al Horford.

So much animosity here. How about a truce? Llemon, go ahead and invite Vince to your party. We promise he'll be open to your suggestions then.

This might be PBP, but someone on Twitter tracked him down on another board they post on, he was a long time Pro Sports Daily poster or something like that who got himself perma banned recently for going off on people relatively unprovoked.

Same style over there though as well.

He's supposedly some bitter old dude though, in his 60's.

I'm not hating cause of his age, listen we're all going to be old one day if we don't get offed young by some freak accident or cancer or some ****, but you'd think he's like 17 from the stuff he posts lol.

I would absolutely think Soup is about 17. That sounds right.

But this guy posting here has history with you. He is trolling the entire board but he has a sweet spot for you.

The premise is wrong: ATL is not looking to "to blow up the team and rebuild from scratch." That's just RealGM code for "we're gonna offer trash, 'cuz they're looking to tank." It's a convenient way to justify underpaying for a player in a trade.

Moreover, if Ferry were looking to start over, wouldn't "from scratch" mean with young players? Why wouldn't he look at Horford and Smith's (young) ages and start there?

And now Horford's discontented? Really? And the Hawks might trade him to "save money"? Have you looked at his salary? To understand how reasonable Horford's deal is, consider that he's paid about the same as Humphries, for crying out loud. Forgive the rudeness, but if Joe Johnson displays "iso-ball" for y'all like he did for us, you'll learn what discontent is.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Obviously.... I have no idea why Horford is being discussed.

The only moves that could be made are for an expiring like Josh Smith, who says he's leaving and will only re-sign with Brooklyn or walk type. Or a monster overpriced deal like Boozer, Gay, Zach Randolph type player where a team is looking to get rid of a monster deal.

That is the only way were getting better any time soon

Why does it seem like every fan base wants to trade away their best player?

Are you kidding? If this really happened you would have been Hansel's matron of honor. No worries!
