best of luck to najera. he will always be one of my all-time favorite bobcats.
Eduardo Najera is retiring from the NBA and will become the head coach of the Texas Legends of the D-League, according to sources.
Najera will take over form Del Harris and will also have an ownership stake.
Najera played 12 seasons in the NBA.

Re: Viva la Mexicat!! Eddie Retires
He only played 53 games here and averaged 2.4 points per game, yet he's one of our favorite all-time Bobcats - that tells a lot about his personality and zeal.
I think that Mexicat hitting that clutch three pointer against Boston is one of my favorite Bobcats memories, period. I remember KG trash talking after the game how Eddie probably hadn't hit a three that season yet and that it was pure luck, the bastard couldn't get over losing in Charlotte. Good times.

Quinn Snyder just got some serious competition in the "coaches with sweet hair" competition.
Mexicat rules, I hope he becomes an assistant in the NBA soon.

Re: Viva la Mexicat!! Eddie Retires
I just had to upload this.

The Boston Celtics were short-handed, weary and lacking energy following a difficult stretch of games when Kevin Garnett leveled an elbow into Eduardo Najera's face.
The intimidation attempt didn't work against the Charlotte Bobcats.
"I just told him he hits like my grandma," Najera said.

Would've liked him to stay, but it's his decision. I'm glad he's staying in basketball and it's good to hear his head is OK.

Cheers Eddie, you are one hard mofo.
Glad after his 12 years of service he has a contingency plan, he may be back on our bench in some capacity before we know it.
