Rousey was very impressive, though it's quickly getting to the point where her fights will not be interesting because the result (and even the friggin round and method) is a foregone conclusion. Probably a smart move to call Cyborg out to move to 135 to fight her, but I still think it's kinda weak for her to call out someone in a higher weightclass to drop down, especially when 4 of her 6 career fights were at that higher weightclass. Hopefully they can work out a catchweight or something, because that's really the only interesting fight for either fighter.

Rousey is the star of MMA, and who the **** is Cybrog to dictate terms when she has been cheating in a sport when someone life is up at stake. It isn't like people are rushing to go see Cyborg

Anyways Cybrog can make it that weight... anyways everyone knows she is a twat for using steroids. which aided her to bulk up and have massive cuts after the weight in.

I've got no love for Guyborg, but if you call someone out, you do it at their weight class.

Rousey wouldn't be doing it if she had a long list of opponents to fight either.

I hate when people want competitors to be objective or follow genteel rules of conduct. She should absolutely advocate for Cyborg to move down. Why would she not? It's a bargaining point, if nothing else; if she eventually does move up to a catch weight, she'll absolutely be able to get a better payday because of it. 'You want this superfight, Zuffa, and for me to move up to fight a larger woman, pay me.' She shouldn't do that??

That said about not holding fighters to rules of gentility, I really think Ronda's an **** for staring down that woman reporter before each fight. I'm sure it's some friggin' personality thing she has with hot chicks. There's no need to intimidate civilians, whether you're 10 minutes from a fight or not. And I absolutely think she CAN help it, she's not in psycho mode, she just enjoys it or laughs at it afterwards with her Armenian cornermen. 'Did you see that chick squirm? Hahaha.'

I haven't seen what it is you're talking about but that sounds pathetic. Congratulations former Olympian and professional fighter, you're tougher than some random woman holding a microphone

I've never seen Ronda stare down a reporter...does anyone have a video of it?

They're out there. The one I was thinking of is a pre-fight interview for the Tate fight.
Ronda looks like she's going to crack the pretty TV lady.

Reading these stupid thread elsewhere about Ronda vs (Male Fighter).
I'm sorry, that is ridiculous.

A top-level bantamweight could do some serious damage to an untrained man, plus six feet and over 200 lbs.

Ronda Rousey could Judo throw and then armbar any untrained man, plus six feet and over 200 Ibs.

I'm not saying that she could take any top level bantamweight, but she could probably take all the TUF contestants at FW.

No.

Untrained, maybe, but you give me a 25 year old tradesman who works outside all day and works hard, no way she's doing that.

And pro-level FW are going to ruin her, men and women imo, are built differently.

I just don't see it, man.

I'm sure she'd get smashed in an actual fight, but she was throwing the guys from the last TUF around pretty good when they were doing some judo.

As a negotiation tactic, fine. Good for her.

But just in terms of one fighter challenging another to a fight, it's kind of cowardly/dishonorable, IMO.

Let's not forget that Rousey, at 4-0 at 145, dropped down to 135 when Cyborg was still around. She could have easily had the Cyborg fight then if she wanted it.

Since Cyborg has been calling her out, she gets a pass here, but the same situation in another weight class would not be looked upon favorably.

If Silva all of a sudden says he wants to fight Jones, but only wants it at 185, are people supposed to get behind that? And think less of Jones if he doesn't take the fight?

On the flip side, Rousey was talking mad smack about Cyborg, essentially saying she's a dude lol. But then again, Cyborg has more testosterone than me. So I guess it just comes down to whose side you want to take. I don't like Rousey's personality, but I'll take it over the cheating Guyborg personally.

"I get many questions about Ronda Rousey, and I would like to set the record straight for the last time, as I do not consider her much personally, much less as a fighter," Santos told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) through an interpreter. "She claims she is the champion and openly challenges me to fight at 135 pounds, which I find laughable. She competed in the Beijing Olympics at 154 pounds and fought at 145 pounds in MMA until she learned she would have to fight me and then dropped to 135 pounds.

"I have never fought below 145 pounds, and I am considered the pound-for-pound top woman fighter in the world. I have yet to lose a fight while holding the Strikeforce 145-pound title. My last fight was considered a no contest, but that has not changed the fact that I am the women's 145-pound champion."

This fight needs to happen and there is no reason it can't happen at 140 pounds. Make it happen Coker.
