Standard 8 category format...irrespective of keeper options...who will have the more productive upcoming season?

Affalo. Only because he's going to a terrible team and is asked to do everything. Whereas, if GSW starts the season healthy, Klay will be 4th option on the offensive end.

I don't see the huge upside some do with Afflalo even though he's going to be on a terrible team. He's not a lead scorer by any definition of the word and it's hard to see him capitalizing on his situation in Orlando.

Afflalo's value is pretty much capped at what it was last year IMO. Long-term I would much rather have Klay.

They have pretty similar values for next season with Afflalo holding a notable edge in free throw attempts (Klay shoots a great percentage but doesn't get to the line at the same rate so won't help you as much in FT), and Klay being a better long-range (three-point) gunner...

If we're looking at just next season you could go with either and there won't be a huge difference. I would personally go with Klay because of his long-term prospects and his greater potential for across-the-board impact (despite being a strong defender Afflalo has never averaged more than 0.6 SPG)...

*Edit: Don't have time now but it'd be interesting to look at what Thompson's stats were playing alongside Curry as opposed to when Curry was out.

Klay wasn't really playing yet until long after Curry was out.

I'd agree with you on Afflalo, I expect about the same counting numbers but with reduced efficiency since he's now the #1 option instead of #4 like in Denver with Ty Lawson setting him up.

Here are Klay's numbers as a starter:

.441 FG, .906 FT (2.2 attempts), 2.1 3's, 18.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.1 steals, .4 blocks, 2.2 TO's.

Now that did come when Curry was out and Monta had been traded and they used some god-awful lineups at the end of the year, so his shot attempts could/should drop a bit. However, it was also his rookie year, so an uptick in efficiency is within reason.

I think you have to take Klay there. As above, his numbers as a starter were quite good and he won't have to worry about undue defensive attention if the Warriors start with all hands on deck. I like Afflalo, but he's not a #1 option guy and I think his efficiency should take a pretty big hit this year.

I wouldn't draft Afflalo based on the fact there aren't many options in Orlando. Sure his scoring will go up but his FG% will likely take a hit.

Thompson has way more upside and will play better if he has Lee/Bogut/Curry giving him open 3s.

What about ANTHONY RANDOLPH? do you guys think he is gonna get minutes in Denver, i drafted him in some leagues hoping he becomes an efficient scorer points/minute.

Klay by a mile and NEVER chase Magic Randolph. Those 5 games a year where he beasts won't be worth the headache.
