Plus drinking blood with aids wouldn't give you aids. AIDS is only transferable from blood and bodily fluids excluding Sweat, tears, and saliva.

I'm pretty sure that's actually false, you can get HIV through all of the above methods including drinking it, the chances are just very low statistically speaking - so low that it's not worth worrying about.

@hermes - after a little research, I didn't find a bat version of HIV, you're right, as usual.

It is not 100% known why, but it can be traced to around the time it appeared in humans and the first reported case came from somewhere in Africa (forget the country)

interesting, is it known if it was a dormant type of disease in monkeys or something that affected them as well. maybe my question is, did AIDS become lethal the moment it hit humans or was it an issue in monkeys as well?

It came from Apes not Monkeys. It has similar effects in Monkeys, but the reason why it screws us up more is because we are one of few species that has sex for pleasure and not procreation. Plus we are able to travel longer distances and infect more people in different continents compared to other apes that are geographically trapped within an area.

Just wondering what tv shows everyone is watching in our Lakers community.

Everyone please post your TOP 5 T.V shows if you feel like it.

Heres mines:

1. The Office
Sad to hear it's the final season and I first heard the news from Doc as he posted the news like 2-3 pages back.

2. How I Met your Mother
Hilarious and theres rumors that it could be the final two seasons. Makes sense everyone is moving on in the show. Marshall and Lily got their newborn child and Barney is getting serious with his girlfriend stripper.

3. The Walking Dead
Not really a big zombie fan but this show is pretty dope. My son was the one who got me into this and now Im hooked. Can't wait for season 3 to start this coming fall.

4. Family Guy
LuLZ

5. Californication
Good show if you got Showtime and what man doesn't want to live the life of Hank Moody? Million Dollar book contract, all you do all day is party upscale Hollywood status writing short stories, and you bang dime pieces all day as well. Crazy and entertaining show which to me replaces Entourage's absence to a certain degree.

i honestly dont watch TV really. sometimes i watch some shows on netflix, and i watched the walking dead for a bit, but they only had 1 season on there. at night i watch adult swim sometimes. i usually just download movies or anime if i want to watch something.

Most of the shows I mentioned I watch through Netflix like yourself and also got Hulu Plus.

The only live television I try to catch is sports.

As for the Walking Dead season1 was watched through Netflix and I downloaded Season 2.
