Re: Fisher back?
Isn't there some CBA rule that prevents him from re-signing right now, anyway? I thought it was the same situation as why Odom couldn't resign until December if the Mavericks released him.
Anyway, Fisher was the one NBA player who always stood out to me as a potential coach. Let's give him that opportunity. Then, when it's his time to move up to head coach, we can bring in another horrible coach like Vinny Del Negro or Mike Dunleavy instead!

Re: Fisher back?
the rule is a team can't re-sign a player it traded away either one yr after the trade or the july after his contract expires, which ever is sooner.
lamar odom is still on the same contract, so only the one y after rule applies which is in december.
fisher's contract expired in june, per the buy out he agreed to with houston. that means lakers could re-sign him already.

Re: Fisher back?
I would replace Steve Blake with Fisher in a heartbeat if that was even remotely possible.
But I think Fisher wouldn't want to come back nonetheless. Somewhat like Lamar's situation.

He should look to be a scout.
