Bottom line is it looks as if we've upgraded the RB position. It would have been hard to replicate last year's offensive numbers and now we at least have the threat of a running game. Good signing.

and we go for a deep pass for a TD
id prefer we just get the 1st down and keep the drive going

Benson looks to be the perfect runner for our offensive style. You can see how heavily the Bengals had to respect our play action with him in the game, and you can see how horribly Benson punished them when they didn't respect the run. Watching him run makes me feel great about him as a player, and also feel absolutely terrible about the rest of our running backs.
