Defense-Beal used his strength to offset his lack of height against opponents in college however this will be a struggle in the NBA. Lamb will initially struggle with strength but should still be dangerous in passing lanes. Furthermore, over time, Lamb will get stronger and has potential to be an elite defender.

Lamb’s ability to get his shot both in the midrange and all the way to the basket is much better than Beal who, to this point, has shown an inability to create his own shot.

That is someone's opinion you just used there. At least use your source: http://bustasports.com/bradley-beal-vs- ... omparison/

An easy search of what you wrote gave me that bad boy. Also you are comparing numbers of a sophomore who played with much higher level PGs. Beal is currently a better defender because he is involved and strong defensively. The shooting part is completely false. Lamb has a better mid range shot but Beal can create better, because he is smarter in how he attacks.

Beal has a higher sealing for sure. But I don't see the comparisons to to Ray Allen as of right now. Kind of in the Eric Gordon mold. Beal has a nice shooting form but it didn't translate to impressive college #'s.

Lamb on the other hand was the second best player on a national championship team. His length will make him a good defender in this league.

Considering where beal was picked i think Lamb was a solid choice with the available 2 guards out there

Completely disagree. The only real reason the team won a championship was the PG that entered the draft that year. Beal showed up in the tournament while Lamb went out in shame. Beal is stronger, better defensively, a better leader, and smarter in how he attacks. Lamb has good moves but often settles for bad shots.

I just feel like Lamb like players are available even currently in this draft. They arent hard to come by.

well do you have any statistics to back those claims up. Because statistics show Lamb had a better college career. Now if you want to project beal to be a better pro that is one thing and that is clearly why he was drafted where he was drafted. But you have been drafting based on where they went in the 2012 draft.

And also saying that the only reason was "eddy" that UCONN one the championship is straight garbage. Below was his freshman years NCAA tourny...those are good #'s man

He played off of "eddy." He did play well the year before. But last year he had a chance to be the man and he faltered, while Beal was the man at UF in his freshman year.

Not saying he isn't a good option. But if you are relying on him to be your #2 option i think that is a cause for concern.

Im not sure if i love Reddic on your team, but he should help Westbrook out by being able to spread the floor. Just doesnt look like a team Popovich would coach. As of now, you really only have 1 player who can score the ball. Thats a big issue.

I think you need more athletes to be able to run with Westbrook.

When I picked Pop, I looked at every possible player I could possibly pick. I looked between the last Knicks B-a-T & our recent Orlando B-a-T to see what kind of guys I could get that would make an impact. There was no one left that would make more of an impact on winning that getting Pop. He is indisputably the #1 coach in the league right now and an all time great. He develops young talent better than any coach in the league.

Westbrook's biggest problem is that sometimes he gets out of control or loses focus. Who better to control that than Pop?

Who better to develop two international big men that are still very raw?

JJ Redick fits in perfectly in my mind. He is that High IQ player that does a little bit of everything (yes, he does...look at my user name, if a Tar Heel can concede that, anyone should be able to). He is the exact kind of guy that Pop would love to have.

As far as how the players mesh together, Redick is Ray Allen light. Doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective. Will stretch the floor but can also get a guy off the dribble with a pump fake and get his own shot.

Pekovic is there because he can score but isn't a guy who demands the ball. On top of that, he is one of the best offensive rebounds in the game and can defend.

Ibaka is obviously there for his defense.

With Pekovic & Ibaka, I truly believe a coach like Pop can get more out of them than any other coach could. Same with Westbrook. Both have great base skills with a very high ceiling. Pop will help them reach that ceiling.

18 pts a game with better shooting #'s in a better conference vs 15 in a weaker conference is not a having a better season?

Also boyton and irving were the two that made florida for most of that year. I will give it up to beal that game vs Marquette was pretty impressive.

There's barely any pure sg's left that have the upside of lamb. The fact he can space the floor, score on his own and get in the passing lanes with Mike Conley and WC is deadly with Howard behind them.

This. I honestly believe the guys doubting Pekovic haven't really seen the guy play. He is raw...but damn he does have some skills.

i agree i don't mind his team

but blair and howard are a terrible fit together...both guys will clog up the paint.

also im nitpicking here but conley, lamb, chandler, and howard are all laid back cats...i think you could use a little grittiness hard nose type guys on your team.
