I might get it started early. I just ran some numbers and was very slightly surprised at who came out on top. I was going to take the player I hate and hope he gets hurt but since a player I like came out on top, all the better.

I think you picking early would be more of a suprise than who you actually pick. I don't think anyone in the top 4 can be a surprise.

Surprise! He selected 20 minutes after your post.

Aaaaand we're off.

Any guesses how many picks go by before we have a surprise?

Ok, the 8 hour windows begin at midnight tonight, PST. So, that's just under 2 hours from now.

We may have a surprise on my pick, because i have 4 tier one guys on my board, and 4 tier two guys. And I'm pick 9. So if none of those fall, I don't know who I'll pick.

I'm so hopelessly unprepared for this draft. I don't know who I'll be picking until #10 comes up. But, from the sounds of it, I'm picking 2 picks too late.

Does westbrook count as a surprise pick?

I've been burned so many times by the consensus #5....

BTW, why are we on an 8-hour clock? I thought we did that last season for the lock out. 12 hours should be fine.

Because last year's draft was the best one ever. Why mess with what works?

Amen to that, Wes!

Plus, last year it was 6 and then 4 hours.
Plus plus, we're starting later
Plus x 3= we added a roster spot.

He surprised me. But with no injury list some guys are gonna drop a bit.

I think this year, even if you are prepared, you have just as much chance as winning it compared to anyone. With the exception of the top 4, anyone can go anywhere IMO. Very hard to predict.

Is there a consensus #5?

I don't think so. But Westbrook is a good pick at #5 if he keeps improving his 3PM, which I believe he will. It should also be noted that he has no injury history and never missed a game.

By the way, I am interested in a head-to-head league with live draft, if anyone is looking for that sort of thing.
