Lin is better, more confident in his shooting:

"Based on our workout this summer, he's a much better shooter than he was last year this time," Doc Scheppler said on the sidelines of a basketball summer camp in Taipei at which Lin was appearing.

Man, bumping around a few of the other boards over the last few weeks has been pretty eye-opening. There really is an irrational hatred of this kid in many circles.
That just makes me want to see him succeed even more!

I'm just gonna take your word for it. I think my quota for Lin-brand negativity has been filled since May.

Yeah, I guess I just never paid much attention to it. I'm always so zoned in on the Rockets that I filter out a lot of the other stuff.

Speaking as a Bucks fan who saw Lin get 20 pts, 13asts, 4 steals, (and raves from John McGlocklin) on us last March, I'd be more than happy to swap both our starting guards, Jennings and Ellis, for Lin. Point guards with his kind of ability and vision are very rare indeed. "Experts" who squawk about Lin because he has an extra to or two don't understand how much he helps an offense.

^ Jennings is actually a very fine player. Much like John Wall, he just wasn't surrounded by proper teammates imo. He also got a lot of unfair criticism from the NY-biased media and fans who couldn't get over the fact they drafted Jordan Hill over him.

Disagree with you there...with some provisions. Jennings loves to shoot. I mean he really loves to shoot. So does Ellis, but Ellis is a shooting guard, while Jennings as pg is supposed to be a distributor. I don't see any evidence that Jennings will ever be a distributor on the level of Lin. That doesn't mean Jennings can't be valuable as he has a lot of offensive tools. But not as point guard. Too many bad decisions in that area. Be happy you've got Lin instead of Jennings.

Heard that John Wall added weight this summer and probably caused the knee injury. So I guess Lin's somewhat wise to lose his 10lbs.

I am happy with Lin but I think you underestimated Jennings. It's not his fault that he's the only shot creator and ball handler on your team before the Monta trade. You talked about ball distribution but check out his assist numbers, it's not that far off from other young PGs like Irving. Jennings definitely has game, his dribble move is 2nd to none and I like his swagger too.

The difference between Lin and Jennings is the difference between one player (Lin) who looks to see what the best play will be in a given situation, pass or shoot, and acts accordlingly and one player (Jennings) who looks to see if he can get his shot off. And then maybe he'll pass.

Have you thought of that if you guys had any players for Jennings to pass to? You have to evaluate players under their circumstances.
