in the very slight chance my team finds itself in a close game during a 4th quarter and there is a player who is having a little purple patch moment i thought it would be wise to have the best man to man defender of the past 30 years on my bench to end the purple patch. this guy shut down everyone from iverson to nowitzki.

team fatlever selects bruce bowen using the "chucker" (career .409 on 4000+ shots). we will be using the 2004-05 version of bowen. in that year he was named to the 1st team all-defense (one of 8 times making the 1st or 2nd team). he won the finals as the starting small forward, playing 82 games. he shot over 40% from 3pt line on 250 attempts.

you've pipped me again Fats!!!

I had Bowen pencilled in for the Diop category, from that wonderful year when his free throw% was below his 3pt%.

He really was a ruthless defender which is why he became quite hated by several players. One of his favourite tricks was shuffling forward when you shot so you would land on his feet and roll your ankle. I'm sure he didn't intend to injure, but how difficult would it be to hit your shot when you have to worry about where you land!!

This has to be something unique. That's amazingly bad.

The category I personally found the most difficult to fill after the obvious few is Broadcaster.

I'm going to grab the versatile Jalen Rose 2000-01, handy having a player who could comfortably play 3 positions.
20.5pts, 6 asts, 5 rebs, for the Broadcaster spot.

pg. Rondo, KJ
sg. Carter, Ricky Pierce
sf. Bird, Jalen Rose
pf. Nowitzki, Amare
c. Howard, Eaton

Like I said this wasn't my strong point but:

Also, he will announce NCAA basketball games plus cover the NBA Playoffs/Finals for the eleventh consecutive season.

yeah you're clean, no worries. he's definitely in the spirit of the category, and it's not like he's a big steal this late in the draft.

I have bullies at every position except SG. Let's address that issue.

This guy is underrated historically because he had some off the court issues. Those issues are warranted later in his career, but the version I'm picking is the one when he was relatively problem free in his younger years. Besides, put this guy on the court and he's going to do whatever it takes to win. And I love that.

He and DJ will create by far the meanest, toughest, most athletic/disruptive second unit backcourt duo in this draft

Known for being a supreme athlete who thrived in the uptempo system I'll be employing. He was a gifted slasher, passer, and defender who could pour it in when he needed to.

In 1993-94 (Thief), Latrell Sprewell averaged:

21 points
5 rebounds
5 assists
2 steals
1 block

while being named to the First Team All-NBA and Second Team All-Defense

good one. I couldn't decide between Parish, Daugherty and Sikma back when I picked centers. I knew that I would like two of them and it was hard to decide between Sikma and Daugherty.
