It wouldn’t be a surprise to see last year’s second-worst team make the playoffs in 2013, and Grunfeld is a huge part of that.

Wow! Finally somebody gives a little credit for the amount of talent that has been added to this roster since last February.

We can't even win a contest for losers.

lol, the only "talent" added since February is Beal.

Otherwise, we just swapped bad for slightly less bad.

Swapping McGee for Nene is bad for slightly less bad? Really? Huh.

Swapping Rashard -- who can no longer play a lick -- for Okafor and Ariza, who both will actually be productive on the court, is bad for slightly less bad? Well, maybe Okafor's back will go out. Ugh, ok, trading Rashard's cap space in 2013 for Okafor and Ariza, well... Depends on what we might have gotten for that cap space on the fa market. We'll never know now I guess.

Yeah. Nobody said that the Okafor/Ariza additions were cost effective, or good ideas in the long run, but there's no denying that they add to the talent base. There's also a pretty good reason to expect substantial improvement out of Wall, Vesely and Seraphin based on their athletic potential, work ethic, and relative inexperience.

Wonder what the futility rating is for the last 33 years . . . a third of a century of futility . . . could be our new marketing slogan.

I will say that if they play with fire and passion, this could be the first Wiz lineup I actually like since the lone year of Never Nervous Pervis and before that, the Bruise Brothers. There's potential for my kind of team here (thug life in the lane).
