Yeah, I was going to say the same thing....only because I was hoping he'd drop to 18.

I would have moved down if I would have gotten any offers. Apparently, #10 was a pretty low value spot.

Thanks Sabonis for doing such a good job with my list.

Wow. I really don't like passing someone up in the 1st round. That just feels cold. It's not like Flopp to not check the site at least daily. I'd be willing to wait in the interest of fairness (let's face it, missing out on your pick in the 1st round could really damage your team/strategy/chances of doing well) since I'm all for competitiveness, but I can't as this is my only shot before I risk missing my deadline.

Sorry to get up on a soapbox about this, I just don't want to mess with the competitive balance of the league. Hopefully Flopp comes around and makes his pick soon. If he completely misses a round, I wouldn't object to just designating the best player available to him. I'd rather it be 20 teams and not 19 teams and then an auto-picked team, but I guess we'll see what happens.

Sorry Flopp! If I end up taking your targeted player, perhaps I'll trade him for equal value.

Not 100% sure, but do you have to wait 6 hours until after my pick?

I think Rondo at 9 was pretty high and I think it's worse than Westbrook going so high

what do u mean by me doing such a good job?

and what do u mean by "do you have to wait 6 hours"

Ditto here.

My guy was Rondo, so I'm willing to drop from 18 to the 30s. Send me an offer at squirrelzipper at yahoo dot com

I was thanking you for picking so quickly after the previous pick had expired. Nothing snarky.

Well, I wanted Rondo, couldn't trade down, and he wasn't going to be there my next pick. So...

I'm obviously trying a new strategy this year. After 7 years of 3 bigs in my first 4 picks and no titles I think it's time to shake things up a bit. Well, I'm shaking things up a lot actually. Fraan won't know what to make of me this year.

BTW, I don't want to be the first heckler on time here, but we're just under 5 picks per day, which at this point, might have us finish drafting in time, but knowing how slow we go at the end, we very easily may miss the first week of the season at this rate.

And yes, I know that's a run-on sentence.

We certainly are moving at a snail's pace so far. As this group of guys gets older, we all have jobs and families now, and, as is natural, we put less of a priority on the league, which is a good thing.

The problem is that we can become lax in paying enough attention to keep it moving. Just food for thought.

I would have never guessed we'd be looking at back to back skipped folks in the first round.

hmm. I somehow didn't clue in that the 26th was a Sunday. And I was at a memorial service for most of today.

It ended up not mattering. My top 8 went in the top 8, and there are about 5 guys I like about the same at 9, so I just picked one that was still around.

By my count, Cy still has about 2 hours before he's skipped.

I'm coming up with an hour and five minutes. Can I get official confirmation before I make an ass out of myself? I do that well enough when I make my picks.

Can we get the time per pick added to the draft thread OP? I'm in too many slow drafts to remember what the timeout is unless it's posted.

btw, you can always send a PM or email to a person that is late or about to be late. That would have helped in my case.
