the best part is when you have class like 3 hours later and then you have to decide whether you want to stay at school for the entire time or give up your sweet parking spot you got at 7 am to come back and park across the street because its a **** in the afternoon.

You're lucky to have a car. Gek walks and takes the bus.

Just hang out on campus. Study for 3 hours or so at the library. Or does your college not have stuff like that?

I think you would like night classes more.

well like it would be best if i didnt have to drive, but everything is so spread out in LA its almost impossible to live here and get places on time and consistently without a car. yeah if i lived by campus and everything was in bus/walking distance and public transportation didnt suck massive balls here i would be fine without a car. i consider it more of a necessary evil than anything else, but yeah having a car is nice.

Save the parking spot bro, here's what I do back when I had those issues. I would go to my car, smoke and hear some music for about an hour or less than go to the Freudian Sip or the College store next door and talk to people. I met some real cool people doing that. Late mornings to early afternoon people are pretty chill. Those morning people are not happy though. Some girls are easier to talk to in the late morning to early afternoon, I noticed that with a few morning girls i had in a few 8am classes.

hipster idea: carry roller blades/skateboard/scooter with you, anything portable and head down to nearby places:

1) AMC Promenade for a movie

2) Canoga Park Bowl, they have bowling duh and an arcade. I would love coming here to play Initial D :D

3) Go eat at Denny's/Daglas/San Sai

Those 3 hour breaks are awesome for extra study time. I would sometimes go to our library and chill down below in the old books area. Nice quiet area, I remember going there often for a semester where I'd study with this girl and some other dude. It was super chill and quiet, we drank beer down there a few times. Got me points with the girl. College is full of possibilities :D

Why not just carry a bike. If you want to go Hipster than just get one of them "fixies"

i'm wondering how i'll handle it, i was originally planning on going back and forth when the situation arises- but i've heard from other students that i'll basically be living at the program building, so we'll see what happens

probably a little of both depending on what needs done- i'll mostly be walking but that's not a big deal, once i've got all the tunnels/building shortcuts down it will be like a 15-20 minute walk one way

plus the exercise will be good
