I honestly don't see the big deal cause I've seen SEVERAL proposals by GM's made in the actual BaT thread, some usually respond, some say "email me" which means they don't wanna tip their hand, and some go to tinychat and discuss trades and name drop like a mofo (I stay away from tinychat for that reason).

W/ that said, I don't post email proposals but nearly did when 2 GM's got "slick-mouthed" about proposals because they couldn't get the upper hand in them, especially considering how sh*tty their proposals were to me.

Quite funny actually.

Yes we did. Just clearing up some of the stuff you said here. It made me sound like I said something bad to you. All I was trying to do is be clear what the offer was since its a blockbuster and clear how your team would look after. Again just trying to clear things up more then anything.

I wouldn't just get on here and lie I was very respectful via email saying how it was wrong if you felt anyway I'm sorry. Then I get on here and people are posting like I was making fun of your trade or something. Some don't have a damn clue, but still feel a reason to give there 2 cents making them look foolish when they have no idea what is going on.

I sent you an offer, very respectfully replied when you called my players role players (didnt say anything bad about you or your players), and thats it it was over until you posted the deal here.

Wow ok...now that I know the GM is BlueNinja I gotta admit, from my dealing w/ him, he's been pretty darn respectful and easy going, hard to imagine him being belligerent or anything.

And this was after our little back and forth about him dissing the hell outta SJax (when I drafted him).

I can vouch for Blue. Always love dealing with him..
I think some GM's no one in particular shouldn't take offers so personally Just remember its part of the process...

I can vouch for blue as well...he has real soft hands and a nice singing voice to boot.

Pick #218 not only picked early, he picked a guy already picked. So we still have to let the time for #217 run out and then let the time for #218 run out.

So you dont think that 14 and 6 on 44% is good?( And if you discredit Harrington's first 7 years in the NBA, his last 7 seasons hes been a great 3pt shooter overall. In terms of makes and %.) Harrington unfortunatley has been on mediocre teams for most of his career. Few play off teams, but none that were ever contenders. Harrington when he was on the Knicks, was our best scorer. Those teams were garbage, not that it was Harringtons fault..they were just poorly constructed basketball teams. That doesnt make him a "loser" imo.

SInce the Knicks, Harrington seemed to have matured a bit and having NY off your back must be a major relief. You put Harrington on an already contending team (a'hem), Hes a valuable guy to have off the bench.

For a 6'9 guy, he is probably one of the best ball handlers in the NBA (by best i mean in terms of PF/C) Was always kinda strong, but not that athletic. Harrington can create off the dribble very well for a PF, and has some good go 2 scoring moves. 6 rebounds from your pf/sf off the bench aint bad either.

I wanted another guy off the bench who could create offense for himself, and he was up there in terms of BPA. I think your seeing this as a glass half empty kinda thing. You dislike Al as a player and from when he was on the Knicks, but you cant deny that Al isnt skilled, and that he could easilly help most NBA playoff teams. (Not the knicks IMO though, no room for him)

i'm glad i traded away 216 because al harrington was a guy i was eying. definite points off the bench. as long as he has guys that can distribute the ball to him and don't care that he has low bball IQ and won't pass the ball, he's definitely nice to have around, and i think he's actually a steal at this point in the game. his contract is much nicer now that he's not on the knicks

Thanks BR, and I agree that Harrington makes some bone headed plays, but i wouldnt exactly say he has a low bball IQ.
