lol if you were involved with HS and OBA/AAU basketball I'm sure you would've known who Andrew Wiggins was when he was still playing in Vaughan.

Wiggins easily and it's not because I'm Canadian :D

Shabazz doesn't seem to have much of a floor game unlike Andrew Wiggins.

He really is impressive.
So explosive and in control.
It will be interesting to see how he competes against stiffer competition.

Either Shabazz or Wiggins would fill a major hole, so I'd g*zz my pants if we draft either one. They are both very aggressive players who want to dominate their competition. You can't teach that. I give the nod to Wiggins though, for his length and athleticism.

Shabazz appears stonger but I feel like Wiggins is more gifted athletically. But still, I am biased towards Wiggins.

I thought most RealGMers knew about him since 2009.

I had a dude from Cincinnatti ask me about Wiggins during a fantasy football draft, he posts on a University of Kentucky Basketball message board and he told me they are going nuts over Wiggins down there.

They're hyping him as one of the best prospects that will ever set foot in Lexington if coach Cal gets him to commit.

LeBron was raving about him, he had Bron out of his seat at his Skills Academy.

He's an elite level wing prospect, period. He's more polished and explosive than McGrady was at the same age, while possessing similar physical traits. His rapid development in terms of ball handling over the last year is encouraging too.

The only reason ESPN isn't all over him at this point is the fact that he's Canadian. If Wiggins was from NY the hype would be in full force right now.

He is the consenus #1 player not drafted in the NBA and likely the best pure prospect since LBJ would any of you really pick any draftee since LBJ over him including Durant.

40km north, by Canada's Wonderland... how close is that guess? I'm probably off on the distance.

Wiggins is hyped up in the US, he is big time. Jabari Parker is a class ahead of him so he may be mentioned more because he will be graduating first and is the most current thing of the two when it comes to college ball. (pending Wiggins reclassifying).

ESPN is all over Wiggins, apparently they wanted to do a feature on his family like a reality TV show but they turned it down. His dad really tries to keep Andrew on the right path and away from all the media/fame.

He has alot of shoes because most of those tournaments are sponsored and the players get shoes to wear.

Also there is another Canadian down at Huntington from Pickering, Nevell Provo. He is a 2015 PG. Not sure if he is returning for this year though.

Xavier Rathan Mayes is nice, he is a pure scorer, but a bit of a chucker. He's one of those guys who takes those horrible shots but hits them somehow. He would be big time as well if he had the size/athleticism.

Wiggins > Shabazz any day. Shabazz's biggest knock is his athleticism and Wiggins has enough of that for the both of them. I like the Rudy Gay comparison in terms of his athleticism and body type, but let's wait until a college game to make comparisons regarding his impact in the NBA.

That Pangos Vs Wiggins game was amazing, the hype in the building was insane. The thing with Wiggins in Canada was you could tell he was holding back, facing Pangos brought him out more. He always seems to step his game up when the competition rises.

I know this is a little off topic but I didn't want to start a new thread....is there any videos of the Canada Basketball training camp? I know Wiggins wasn't there but it would be cool to see.

And I don't know about Wiggins over Durant.

Wiggins is actually very strong. He can take those bumps and hits in mid-air when he attacks AND still finish high above the rim. Shabazz relies on getting to the line because he plays below the rim.

Shabazz is very athletic/explosive for a 2 guard. The thing that stuck out to me watching some of his HS games is his jumpshot form looked iffy
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I really hope that Andrew Wiggins makes it one of his goals to play for Toronto. Imagine if he becomes the next superstar similar to Lebron,KD and decides to sign with his hometown team. Basketball in Toronto and even Canada would benefit so much from having a canadian superstar. BC was willing to go after a 38 year old pg from Vancouver, so getting a young potential superstar from the Toronto area would create more buzz then getting Nash.

All the bad years of raptors basketball would be worth it if we get Andrew Wiggins.

Absolutely!

I'm definitely not the guy to talk about the financials but can't whichever team drafts him offer more money or years after his rookie scale?!

Of course we're all praying that he has some crazy, undying love for his hometown (f the specifics) and wants to truly put the franchise/country "on the map" with NBA basketball because I really just don't have any confidence where going to be in any position to draft him and knowing our luck (not that it would be a big thing before I say it but more ironic) we would get 2nd overall and draft Jabari lmao

But damn the great potential our franchise would have if Val and Drew could grow this team together *sigh*

he should pull a kobe bryant and demand to get traded to the raptors no matter which team drafts him.
