MLSE reaching a new LOW

Post#1 » by Raptors Aiya » Wed Aug 29, 2012 8:16 pm

How stupid does MLSE or ROGERS or BELL or whoever that has control of the PR for the Leafs/Raptors/TFC think the fans are?

Somebody over there actually posted on the OFFICIAL Leafs NHL website a live stream of the ice with the caption "Watch Paint Dry"

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=61026&navid=DL|TOR|home

I'm a Leaf fan, not a hardcore leaf fan but if I had to watch 1 team in the NHL it would be the Leafs cuz I used to follow them a lot during the Sundin days. So if a casual fan like myself feels ridiculed by MLSE I wonder how REAL Leaf fans feel about this.

To log onto the Leafs official site looking for an article about new rookies or interviews or updates on the lockout, find nothing but a live stream to watch Paint Dry.

Leafs fans are literally the lowest common denominator in sports.

This is not a big deal. It's one story out of many on their homepage. Believe it or not, some people will watch the stream. Heck, I even clicked onto it for a few seconds.

Soon Rogers/Bell will charge 2.99 for access to the stream.

And? What's your point?

I'm so hungry for basketball to start, if they posted a video of the hardwood and claimed it was a scratch and sniff, I'd be REALLY tempted.

Relax.

my point is they're using their official home page ridicule fans by saying "Leaf fans will watch anything, I bet if we show them an empty Ice Rink they'll watch it for hours"

Its the team's official home page, put some effort into it. Interview someone, show some highlights.

Personally I think it's hilarious.

Leaf fans should be able to poke fun of themselves. We should be comfortable with being hardcore fans.

I guarantee you it's more fun than listening to Gary Bettman talk numbers at an NHL CBA negotiating session.

was just a time lapse of the crew painting the ice whats so bad. ive seen them do this on other teams websites where they show the crews deconstructing the hardwood and constructing the ice and painting it. its all in good fun, there are worse things...
