it's difficult to judge because of the defenders..he's very often doubled in those games..and he's definitely not in the best shape still but he's making nice post moves every game and comparing to last season he do not try repeat Hakeem moves:) which is good :)O

UPDATE on Marcin "The Polish Hammer" Gortat

There's no stopping Marcin Gortat this summer as he conjured up another monstrous effort in Qualification Round Group E to lift Poland past Switzerland, 111-67, and keep his team on track for a top-two finish.
Nicknamed 'the Polish hammer', the center certainly lived up to his moniker as he pounded away under the hoop to corral a fine double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds.
Switzerland had little way of containing him and for the most part, he was unstoppable, making 14 of his 17 attempts to continually wreak havoc in the paint.

Also had 3 assists and 3 block shots. He looks better now with the ball also looking to create his positions on the court. A thing that CHANGED in Gortat playing this summer IMO is his vision, he is looking for some other guys to set up them a ball.

"I am really happy because it was the first win for us at home. However it is only another step to our goal which is best place in group. We are really a young team and there is still work ahead of us. Tomorrow we will back to the gym with a view to become better."

As far as the competion goes his avg are :
20.7 ppg
10.3 rpg
2.3 bpg
2apg
60% FG
71.8% FT

He will be ready to prove what he can do without Nash on this team. :D :D :D

Good to see that he got his free throw % back to the 70's. Man that was annoying last season.

That cant be!!!! not unless Steve Nash is over there with him, cause he cant exist without Steve!!! (GREEN FONT by the way) To all those who wrote him off cause we traded Nash, shame on you. It is plainly obvious, that Gortat has continued to get better since he got out from under Howard, and came to an orginazation who allowed him to grow and develope areas of his game.

In last game Gortat played only 26 minutes. Reason: poor Albanian team
Poland won 89-59

His stats 18 pts 10 rebs 1bl 7/11 shooting 4/5 FT
Throughout the tournament he recorded 6 double-double out of 8 games. Our team qualified to the Eurobasket 2013 in Slovenia
